Royal POV
As soon as the vampires left with my mate, the pack and I was on the first plane to Transylvania.
I couldn't think of anything but killing them all for trying to take the love of my life away from me.
I felt myself shake with anger. I closed my eyes and started to think of happy thoughts.
I smile, she said she loved me, first. That just makes me want her back more. I'm determined, my wolf, Nate, was determined more than ever.
"We're gonna get her back." Jeff mutters fiddling with his hands.
"You okay?" I ask raising an eyebrow.
He nods. "Yeah. She's our Luna, we have to get her back. She's cool." he replies.
"Weirdo." Layla mumbles.
"How?" I ask her making her roll her eyes.
"Jeff likes nobody. For him to like Nicki, that's a point." she said.
Jeff shrugs. "She isn't like us. She's different. She's the one to change us all."
Nicki POV
I open my eyes to a frowning Drew.
"oh dear god! I thought you were dead." he exclaimed hugging me, shaking me.
"I'm fine." I tell him as he lets go because I was wiggling out of his grasp.
"Damn it. I can't stay in here." he growls jumping off the walls which makes me laugh.
"Chill out Drew before you shift."
"Will it matter? No!"
"Okay, why'd you not listen and stay within the packs eye?"
"You know I don't listen, for shit. It's in my genes as a vampire." he said confidentially.
"Yeah, it's because you're a vampire I'm here." I tell him as he pouts slouching.
"Whatever, don't kill my vibe."
"it was killed as soon as they swooped you up and brought you here, dumbass."
"How's Maxi?" he ask changing the subject, eyes wide with concern.
"You don't want to know." I muttered as he grabbed my arm.
"Please?"
"She was crying, a lot. You know that cry where you can't breathe? Bruh, that's that hurt though."
"Fuck!! Get me out of here!!"
Drew thrashing around as bones start to crack.
"SHIT!! YOU'RE SHIFTING!"
"WHAT DO I DO?" he panics and clasp on the floor groaning and yelling.
"I don't know. I was alone on my first shift too. It took me a week to change back."
His hands and feet turn to paws. His spine cracks and his yells and turn to a big golden wolf.
"Don't be rude. Be glad the Sun Goddess put you with this nice young man."
"The Sun God could suck these nuts." Drew shouted from his end of the room.
"You will not disrespect our mother!" my mom roared at him stalking his way.
I ran I front of her pushing her away from him. You know when you get that protected feeling over someone. Like they're like your younger brother or sister... That's how I felt for Drew. Plus he's freaking out because of the room and nobody messes with the ones I care for.
"Well look at you. Defending your soon to be King." my mother said smirking.
"Not quite. I just think you should back up and leave my life." I growl at her as she tightens her jaw.
"is that how you really feel?"
"Did I hesitate? No." I snap back at her as she narrow her eyes leaving.
"Dude, why do you smell like strawberries?" Drew ask squinting his eyes and covering his nose.
"Strawberries?" I ask giving him a look.
"Here's your food." a guy came in. I narrow my eyes at him. Drew sniffed around growling at him.
"Little bitch." Drew mutters making me laugh.
The guy turns to me eyes wide & full of lust. "Hell nah, you better back off." Drew growls. The guy looks between us two and leaves the room quickly.
"What the hell was that?" I ask him as he smirks.
"When's your birthday?"
"it was tomorrow...." I trail off making him nod.
"You're in heat. You'll be in hell."
