Tyler, being himself, farts in Aiden's face and soon enough everyone smells it.

"TYLERRRR!!" Everyone yells as they quickly scramble away.

Tyler flushes red from embarrassment but continues to laugh at us. Aiden opens his mouth, probably to yell at Tyler, but a loud thunder is heard from above silencing everyone. We all swim to the surface and stick out heads above water to see how bad the storm is. I am instantly blinded from water shooting at my face in all directions, feeling like little bullets shooting at me. The waves are rough and I go back under, mainly because a waved pushed me under and I couldn't keep my face above even if I tried to. The waters at this point are rough too, and Aiden orders everyone to get back to the house immediately.

Everyone swims away against the strong currents, but I get behind everyone since I'm not as strong a swimmer as them. The water keeps slamming me into the coral around me, and I'm knocked into one and fall over, breaking the coral. When I manage to get up and start swimming again, my brothers are already at the house with my parents signaling me to come in.

My father swims out to get me, but a large piece of coral gets ripped out of the ground and hits him, knocking him to the ground. I try to swim closer to my family, but a huge wave rolls overhead and I get lost in the current, not being strong enough to fight it off. I'm above the water, then I'm under, then im above. This repeats for a countless number of times and I soon feel tired, all my energy gone. A huge wave rolls overhead again, and im pulled out of the water and am thrown into the air. The surface of the water approaches me fast as I fall and as soon as I hit the water, everything goes black.

The first thing I feel is the pounding in my head and I groan from the intense throbbing. I roll myself onto my back but regret it instantly when the sun shines right into my eyes. I groan even louder and cover my eyes with my arm. I can taste sand and water in my mouth, and I could feel the water in my lungs. Since I can breathe underwater this wasn't a problem, but considering that it's been sitting in my lungs while I'm breathing in the air for Neptune knows how long, I'm having a little trouble breathing.

I sit up and cough up a small amount of water before laying back down with a thud. I hear seagulls in the distance and I open my eyes.

...We don't have seagulls near the shore on our beach...

Then I remember the storm. I shoot up and look around frantically, but this beach I'm laying on I haven't seen in my life. The sand isn't as nice, rather than crystal soft sands, its mainly chunky rocks with the bodies of washed up decaying fish everywhere.

In my bag, I find the necklace my brother Mason gave to me and put it on. We found a beautiful shell while diving together, and he made it into a necklace for me for my 18th birthday. I frown, missing my family, but I know I'll find them soon.

I throw my bag over my shoulder and look at my surroundings again. Well, since there are no signs of houses, maybe the woods lead somewhere? Maybe I can find a...aha! A trail! I start walking towards the woods towards the trail. At the entrance to the woods, I turn back to the beach one last time, give myself one last nod of assurance, and begin to walk through to woods.

As I walk through the woods, my worries increase. I've never been this far away from home, I've never even been alone for over hours, and here I am. Alone. Far away from home, with no clue of my location. I shake my head and focus back on the trail, making sure not to get lost.

After a few minutes, I notice something. I stop walking and bend down and look at the trail and I notice footprints. That means people are nearby! I jump with joy. I could ask for help and-...I just realized something. Merpeople are able to talk to sea creatures, and I could go back to the shore and ask the fish living there for my location and how to get back home!
