Watching their interaction, Eli understood even more why the players respected Josh so much. Their relationship was not merely that of a captain and his team members. Then Natalie looked at Eli. The faint smile remained on her face. “I really didn’t expect you to be so worried about Josh.”

Eli immediately knew where this conversation was heading. She took a breath. There had already been enough things throughout the day to drain her thoughts. She did not want to deal with Natalie again, especially not now.

“None of your business.”

Natalie smiled slightly, as if the answer had not offended her at all. “I’m just saying what I saw.”

“Oh, God.” Eli rubbed her forehead. “Aren’t you tired?”

Natalie frowned slightly. “What do you mean?”
