Their conversation was interrupted when Liu’s phone demanded his attention.

He ended the call and looked sharply at Cale for several seconds before speaking.

“I’ve changed my mind. We should postpone announcing Miss Naomi’s return.”

One of Cale’s brows lifted slightly. “Why?”

“I just received news.”

He paused, then immediately worked on the tablet and slid over a new file.

Photos of a private airport. Street camera footage. Lists of vehicles entering the city. Names moving quietly through Hong Kong.

“Don Falcon is already in this city.”

Cale’s expression did not change, but the air around him turned intimidating.

“Since when?”

“A few hours ago. He used a private route. He has already activated his network of informants.”

“How close is he?”

“Not close enough to reach this house yet.” Liu paused. “But close enough to try.”

Cale rose and walked to the large study window.

From the upper floor, Hong Kong spread below like an endless sea of light.

“Increase security.”

“I already did the moment I heard the news.”

“Double it.”

“For whom?” Liu asked, visibly surprised.

Cale turned slightly. “Naomi and my wife.”

Liu bowed his head. “Yes, sir.”

Cale let out a long breath. “What about Chris?”

“I’ve already asked Daniel to inform him of the current situation and tell him to remain on standby.”

Cale nodded in understanding. His mind was suddenly crowded with too many things, including one more question.

“Any word from Brandon?”

“That is my opinion as well.”

“Let them ask.”

“Naomi has a right to her name.” Cale pressed tired fingers to his temple.

“And the right to live long enough to use it.” Liu gave his opinion bluntly. “Please think carefully about that.”

Those words silenced Cale.

From outside the room came Lydia’s laughter, followed by Grace shouting that the story was not finished yet.

The sounds of home.
