"So Anderson's Manufacturing," Caiden mentioned again as we sat on the stools in his kitchen. Me wearing nothing but his shirt and him nothing but his boxers.

"Aren't you worried that won't start up right? I mean if doesn't work out you're losing thousands of dollars. Your whole life savings account will be gone," I said worriedly as I took a bite out of toast. Nothing like a middle-of-the-night snack.

"Sometimes you have to take risks and let's be honest could you really see me working beneath anyone?" He asked and I couldn't help but laugh at the thought. Caiden would probably punch his boss the first time he's asked to do something.

"Very true," I said still smiling.

"What about you? You've been doing this fashion thing for a while. Are you planning on sticking with it? Making your own clothes line?" he asked and I smiled.

"I'm not sure yet. That sounds cool, but I can't see myself actually making my own clothes line one day. Plus, I'm not rich like your family. I'm going to be sitting on those student loans from this school and the boys' university for the next thirty years," I said and he rolled his eyes and placed one hand on my cheek, rubbing his thumb up and down it.

"When did you turn into such a pessimist? You're always the optimistic one," he asked and I shrugged.

"I guess when life started to get hard," I said causing him to frown.

"You know there is still so much from my past that you have no idea about. Are you sure you still want to do this?" He asked curiously as he leaned against the counter. My eyes drifted to his arms before back to his face.

"Caiden, I don't care what happened in your past. It's over now and I'm not going to force you to relive it or bring it back up," I said and he snorted.

"Yeah, so you're telling me you're not curious about what happen with Leon and me?" He asked and I bit my lip to stop myself from asking any questions. I showed the last bite of my toast in my mouth. Chewing very slowly.

"Nope, not at all," I said pursing my lips and shaking my head.

"You're lying to me, but I think I'm going to be thankful this time," he said before kissing my pursed lips.

"I'm gonna go back to bed. I have class early tomorrow morning and then work," I said and he nodded. "I love you," I whispered softly and a smile that I've grown to love appeared on his face.

"I know." He smirked causing me to slap his chest.

"What an ass," I muttered as I started walking downstairs.

"Baby doll," he yelled and I didn't respond. "I love you too."

"Mmhm," I muttered before jumping on his bed face down and closing my eyes. So much has happened with Caiden and yet here we are somehow getting through it all; facing the impossible.

"Leon and I have a bad past that goes with my parents. Some shit down with him and it just left me to hate him. There's not much more to the story," Caiden said, lying next to me and I couldn't help but smile. He knew me so well. The curiosity would get to me.

"Thank you," I said placing my head on his chest.
