Innocent or Not novel Chapter 7

Ace laughed deeply as she came back and ripped the bandage open. She tripped over his foot slightly but Ace caught her. He held her firm and Lia blushed from embarrassment. "Clumsy." Ace whistles making Lia huff and she securely placed the bandage on .

"Does it hurt?" She whispers as she still looks at the mark. Ace shook his head and Lia sighed. "Good , what happened ?" She asks as she backs away. Ace gets back up and walks to her room.

"I don't know ." He says . He didn't like to lie to her but he couldn't ever tell her who he was. "How about we watch a movie ?" Lia looked at him and sighed as she felt like he didn't trust her.

"Okay." She whispers as she starts scrolling through Netflix and picks her favorite movie , Turbo on. She sat down on the edge of her fluffy bed. Ace noticed she was sad and he sat next to her pulling her into his lap. "Uhh.."

"Just watch the movie and don't be sad. It pains me when you're sad." He whispers, wrapping a arm on her small waist. Lia only nodded her head slowly and got comfortable in his lap and watched the movie.

When it was the next day , Lia wore simple pants and a shirt. She was so happy. She made a friend and her mother gave her snacks to school.

When she saw Ace , she smiled . But it looked like he was talking to someone so she wanted to surprise him . She tipped toed to him and shook him. "Boo!" She yells as she giggles .

He flinched but turned back around with a eyebrow raised. Her eyes widened when she saw his lip busted. Her eyes wield up as she watched his lips.

"What happened?"

Ace looked at her with a soft smile before interlocking his hands with hers. "I just got into a little fight with my sister." Lia frowned slightly but nodded her head. She didn't know much about his family , maybe they were crazy.
