CHAPTER 84

M.I.T.A.M

HARRY'S POV

I have been getting pretty busy with all the recording for our fifth album, writing songs and getting perfect tunes for our next kind of music while the band were also getting very busy reviewing some clips that we wanted to include in the movie. Personally, it has been getting more hectic because I was also juggling the ongoing trial for the case I filed against Modest.

The first trial went really good and I have a good feeling that we will win this case. My lawyers told me that we had the entire court on our side and we just need to continue giving our legit and valid proofs to help strengthen this case and win it. I have been receiving death threats from anonymous accounts regarding to pull out from the case and I know Modest is behind it.

"You look extra happy today Harry." I hear Zayn speaking to me as we were both in the studio.

I smiled, "I am just really happy lately."

"Have you finally talked with Lindy?" Zayn questions.

The lads have been pretty much careful about bringing her name these past few days since they were all thinking that I needed to heal from the pain of the past that I have caused her. They were all right because it was exactly what I needed and where I needed to be. It was not because I have moved on or forgotten the feelings I had for her but it was both for our healing as human.

"We finally got the chance to talk over the phone." I answered with a smile as he stares at me seriously. "We finally got that closure we were both looking for from each other."

Zayn jumps from the couch and approaches me with a hug. "I am so happy you finally got the chance to talk with her, man!" He pulled himself away, "Did you tell her that you're still waiting for her? For another chance of getting back together?"

I nod vigorously. "Yes, I did."

"And what did she say?"

"She said only time can tell. I rspect that. I mean, she has a lot of things going on right now, her graduation is in a few months, college visitings and programs that she needs to attend. I want her to do all the things she needs to do because I don't want to pop out of nowhere and ruin it for her."

Zayn nods and I think he is getting my point.

"I am also handling a lot of things too and if I let these emotions get the best of me and I get rejected again, I don't want to get sidetracked and ruin something new and amazing for the band."

Zayn pats my back gently with his hand, "You've gotten more mature Harry."

I smiled. "I guess it's all because of experience."

Zayn smiles.

"But I still remember that day when you told me you'd steal Lindy away from me if only you were single." I squint my eyes at a laughing Zayn. "I'm watching you." I gesture my hands.

He laughs louder. "I mean, Lindy's beauty and brains."

"I know Zayn. Drop it." I smiled.

He laughs as he walks back to the couch, "You know what, I am just happy with what's going on with your life at the moment. And, we are all rooting for you to win the case."

"I am positive I will." I sat down with him.

Things have been pretty much better for me ever since I had the chance to talk to Lindy and I was more in the good mood. I was glad that we managed to put the past aside and started to talk again to each other and I am so happy that we managed to maintain our friendship. I wanted her to know that even if we had broken up, I still want to support her as her friend. I still wanted her to know that I am here for her despite the distance between us.

I was happy for what we had and I know someday we will be together again.

She knows I am not giving up on us just yet and I am just waiting for the perfect time to be with her again. I know she is very much busy too because she is getting ready for college and all these pre-college programs that she deserves. She always amazes me and how she told me she was taking up pre-law. She even amazed me more when she got into three colleges which were the best in America and it's something that I can be prouder about of her.

We still message each other from time to time and she responds more often than how she ignores me after Glendale. Communication was the only thing I have always been wanting from her. It was very much the only thing I held onto to get back together with her. Our conversations were more mature and less flirting unlike how we started. I wanted her to know that I am always there.

I did not want to be all selfish for pushing things that I wanted to happen while both of us are handling our lives on our own. I wanted to be with her when every thing is set to sail for us again but right now we are both very busy and she deserves to find herself in anyways she can and I will always be there to support her.

She told me about making trips to Harvard and Stanford and Yale since she was invited to visit the university before she makes any final decision. I couldn't be more proud of her. I mean, these colleges are sick and getting accepted from these three schools is such a huge accomplishment already. I cant imagine ruining this whole thing for her and all I can do is support her like how she has always been supporting me.

These recent days that we have been talking to each other made me realize a lot of things in life, in general. I realized that there is more to life than wanting to fix the situation right away which was suppose to need some time off for both parties to heal instead of pushing things to happen the way you want it to. I learned that, it is okay to wait and it is okay to ask for some space for growth for the two people in the relationship to make the relationship work out again.

It is okay to have some time for yourself to look for yourself without your person. It is okay to be away from the person you love for personal growth mentally and emotionally. It is okay to venture out what you really want and see for yourself that if the feelings and the relationship are still the same even after a few months of being away then accept it if it returns to you.

Eventually things will fall into place again as soon as hearts and wounds are healed and pasts have been accepted. It could even turn out way much better that it used to be and it could potentially mean to last....for life.

"You gotta help me, I'm losing my mind. Keep getting the feeling you wanna leave this all behind. Thought we were going strong I thought we were holding on, aren't we?"

The music stops and Julian started complimenting me, "Great job Harry. Can we get more of the last part and go a bit higher on the aren't we part. It sounded a little flat."

I nod, "Okay."

The song plays again and I tried to sing my part for History.

Julian speaks over the devise in the vocal booth, "Can you guys keep doing the clapping for the intro? It sounds more aesthetic." Julian signals two, three, four and we started clapping along the song. He gestures his hand to stop, "Wonderful."

I grabbed my water as I was in the booth with Liam who is busy reviewing his notes. "Should we go higher in this part?" He asks.

"I think it's as is."

"Um, lads." Julian calls out to us. "Can we sing again the chorus for the last part?"

"Of course." Liam answers.

"I want Harry to finish the song with an ooh. Can we do that?"

I nod, "Alright."

We did History's chorus again before Louis took over the vocal booth for his high notes for our song Love You Goodbye while Zayn and Niall who are not here since they had finished recording their parts for the song yesterday. They were both busy with the movie and going through some videos to be included in the film.

"God I swear I don't fuck up the high notes and sound 'orrible." Louis says jokingly before putting on the headset on his ear.

After a few recordings done for the album, I managed to meet up with my lawyers and discuss what we needed to get ready for the next trial happening in a few days. I had a lot of things going on in my plate and we all need to finish this album on time. We still have not decided about the possible album title yet and the lads are already coming up with a few names.

My days went on from writing lyrics, recording songs for our fifth album, decision making for the movie, had a bunch of endorsements for some brands and attended some radio shows with the lads and studied some tactical ways to win the case. We attended some award shows and sang for a couple of shows too. We released one track from the album and had finally decided to have a cool name for it and we all voted for Made In The A.M which was named by Zayn.

Days continued going on like that until we were able to finish the entire album and had to wait for the release date of it. We were all excited for the fans to hear because most of the songs there mean so much to the band. We did a lot of promotions for the upcoming album and had been busier for the movie release as we kept having meetings for the movie's upcoming promotions through talk shows, interviews and radio shows and the big premier night happening in November.

I have been visiting my mum in her home during freer days and I was hanging out with some of my friends. Apparently, after our fifth trial in the law court, the judge had finally decided to plead the management guilty which allowed me to win the case against Modest. I was over the moon when we won it because I have finally gotten back at those people who manipulated all of us in the most wrong way through blackmailing.

We celebrated my win with my family, a few close friends and the lads. It was all over the news as soon as we won the case and everyone showed their support for me which was really overwhelming.

Things had been going well with my life and I hope Lindy's too.

"I am so happy you won the case Harry." Liam tells me.

"I know. I was so glad that it already finished." I answered.

"How did it feel like being in court?" Zayn asks me.

"I hated being there. It was more nerve-racking than singing in front of people." I replied.

Louis laughs. "But the entire world is happy for you. You finally got back."

I nod.

"Harold." I see Niall arriving as he joins us in the couch. "Hi lads."

"Where were you Niall?" Louis questions.

"I was actually on the phone." Niall answers casually before turning to me. "I have such a huge news for you."

"What is it?"

"Do you have plans for Halloween?"

"I love halloween! Maybe we can dress up this year lads." Louis sounded hyped.

My brows creasing, "Halloween? That's in a week right?"

He nods with a smile. "Do you have plans?"

"Are you asking what I will be for Halloween?" I asked.

"I would want to dress up as Captain America." Liam blurted.

Louis laughs, "You won't do justice for it Liam. You're Biritsh!"

"We are very excited to be here." Niall answers.

"The fans are for sure more excited to see you boys here. You've been all pretty much very busy recording for this fifth album and now you'll be busy promoting your upcoming movie in a few weeks. Tell us all about it." She states.

"We were pretty much busy after the tour." Liam answers. "We were very much happy that we finished the tour and we started recording and writing songs for our fifth album, now we are doing promotions for it. It's crazy."

Ellen laughs, "World tour from another and it's insane how you guys have been doing this for five years! That's absolutely stressful!"

"It does yeah." Louis answers.

"It is pretty much stressful but also rewarding because of how the fans seem to show their neverending support." Niall adds.

"Also when we read stuff online which praises us after we release the album, it really feels great to being able to see how the fans can relate to the songs." Louis continued.

"I am really happy for the things that have been going on with you guys." Ellen says in a friendly way with a smile and God I swear she could pass as Niall's twin. "I would like to focus on Harry for a little bit. I would personally want to congratulate you for winning the case."

The fans screams.

I smiled, "Thank you so much. We were all very happy and it's really great. Thank you."

"It's... It's... It's very brave of you to being able to stand up and going against the management." Ellen says to me. "I mean, you were so brave for standing up on what is right."

The audience cheers again.

"Thank you." I answered as I stare at Ellen and glancing at the fans. "I wouldnt be able to do it without the love and support from my family, my friends, and the fans."

"We are all so proud of you." Ellen adds.

"Thank you Ellen." I responded.

"How are you now Harry? It has been months since your highly controversial relationhip with Lindy." Ellen asks in a very professional way.

"Well, I honestly have been getting better. I try to be better for myself and for her."

Ellen nods, "Do you still talk to her?"

"Yes." I answered firmly.

"That's amazing."

" Yeah. The communication between us is constant recently. Latterly she has been busy preparing herself for college and I am more proud of the things that has been going on in her life right now. She knows I am proud of her and I always want the best for her."

Ellen cooed, "That's really sweet of you Harry. It's really nice that you still show her your support. Do you think you can still rekindle the relationship?"

I smile as the audience screams. "I am not closing any doors. I am still hopeful, I am not going to lie and she knows that. For now I guess, I want her to heal from all the things that happened in our past and when we're ready, when things are ready and when time is right, things will happen."

"I can see how you are such a good ex-boyfriend for her." Ellen complimented.

"I mean, yeah."

"How about for Taylor Swift?" Ellen jokes with her mischievous smile.

The audience screams which makes me laugh as the lads were also laughing.

"I mean, I have always respected her." I answered with a smile.

"I think she does too because she wrote quite a few songs about you." Ellen begins to laugh now.

I laughed and just shake my head, "Yeah, it's good to be an inspiration to someone for something and getting achievements like what she is receiving." I smiled.

"You are a true gentleman Harry." Ellen says smilingly as I thanked her. "Stay tuned for One Direction's performance when we get back!" Ellen says over the camera.

As soon as the camera went off, Louis kept poking fun at me which causes Niall to laugh.

"I'm sorry for putting you on the spot, Harry." Ellen tells me with a hug.

I hugged her back, "It's no problem."
