“I’ll try them first. If I start seeing things, just give me one of these,” Larissa said, pulling a small vial from her medical kit and shaking it. While she was a skilled physician, she had limited experience with mushroom poisoning. That, however, did little to dampen her curiosity.

Haskell glanced at the vial and smiled softly. “Alright.”

With his assurance, Larissa began to eat with gusto. The unique, savory flavor of the mushrooms made her sigh in pleasure. “These are absolutely delicious!”

A few moments after finishing, her vision began to swim with colorful little sprites dancing before her eyes.

“Hahaha, Haskell!” she exclaimed, pointing excitedly. “Look, you’ve turned into a Smurf! You’re so cute!”

Haskell found her antics both amusing and incredibly endearing.

Still lost in her fantasy world, Larissa gestured at the empty space around them. “Where did all these beautiful flowers come from?”

He watched her, thinking to himself that the mushrooms had definitely worked their magic. Suddenly, she reached out and pinched his cheek. “Ooh, this little sprite’s face is so soft…”

Haskell sighed in resignation, letting her playfully squeeze his face. After she seemed to have had her fill, he did as she had instructed and took a small, dark pill from the vial. It had a faint, herbal scent. He carefully placed it in her mouth, but she clamped her lips shut, refusing to swallow.

“Wow, those mushrooms are potent,” she said with a wry laugh. “Definitely not something people should be trying at home.” She then looked at Haskell. “There are still a few left. Want to try?”

He smiled. “Alright.”

Since there wasn't much left, Haskell only felt a little dizzy after eating them and didn’t experience the same hallucinations.

Larissa gave him a pill to clear his head, and after they finished their meal, she began his physical therapy session.
