Meanwhile, Berton, who wanted to catch a glimpse of Jean in her wedding dress, also realized 

something was off. 

He approached Duke, grabbing him by the collar, “What’s going on? Where’s Jean?” 

He punched Duke, causing his lip to swell. “You love her this much?” 

Duke didn’t want to argue with Berton; their immediate priority was to find Jean. 

They both drove back to the villa, searching for clues. 

Finally, they discovered on the surveillance footage that a black car had picked Jean up half an hour 

early. 

However, the studio denied responsibility, claiming it wasn’t their vehicle. 

Duke used his connections to find out that the license plate number was fake, and all leads were cut 

off. 

Two hours had passed since her abduction; if it were for ransom, they would have called by now. The only possibility left was that they wanted Jean dead. 

This conclusion sent Duke into a panic. 

He began recalling any enemies Jean might have made. 

Berton also used his connections but could only trace the black car disappearing after the southern 

elevated highway. 

Duke pulled out his computer and activated the tracker. 

Berton mocked him, “You still have a tracker on her? Is this what you call giving her the right to 

choose?” 

“When we traveled before, Jean got lost easily. You didn’t know that, did you? I installed it to help her find her way abroad. Besides, it only activates if she agrees.” 

Unfortunately, when he opened the computer, the tracker showed no activity. 

A thought flashed through Duke’s mind, and he paused. “Jean doesn’t have any enemies; you should

Berton furrowed his brow. Could it be Winni? 

He quickly called his assistant, “Find out if Winni has been abroad these past few days.” 

As time ticked away, the two men could no longer sit still, anxious as ants on a hot pan. 

Suddenly, Duke spotted a green dot flash across the computer screen. “She activated the tracker!” 

They both shouted, “Let’s go!” 

With clear heads, one drove while the other tracked, working in sync to check the buildings near the green dot. 

Duke used satellite imagery for precise location tracking. “Here! There’s an abandoned building!” 

Berton pressed the gas pedal, speeding toward the destination. 

Just as they arrived, the assistant called. 

“Ms. Byron has been making purchases abroad, but her passport was seen at Y City airport a few days ago. The purchase records are likely a smokescreen; she has landed in Y City.” 

“Funderstand. I’ll send you the location; call the police!” 

Duke shot Berton a fierce glare. 

But now wasn’t the time for blame; they needed all the help they could get.
