Loving In Silence novel Chapter 1

God I hate mornings. I love them until my girlfriend would call me to pick her up. Her name is Apple. That's her real name. I don't even know why I'm still in a relationship with her when I don't even like her. The only reason I'm dating her is because she's the head cheerleader and you know these damn schools, the captain of the football team has to date the head cheerleader.

"I'm on my way". I said and ended the call.

She has a damn car why does she want to show up with me. I put my phone in my pocket and sighed.

"You better hurry or she'll get angry".

My mom smile and pinch my cheek. I swat her hand away and smile at her, taking up my bag and telling her goodbye.

"Better be home early to tell the new neighbors welcome". she called.

I open the garage and unlock my car, throwing my bag in the back and getting in heading towards Apple's house.

"What took you so long Malik?!". she yelled when she entered.

Shut up bitch

"I was busy". I sighed.

"Doing what, do you have another girlfriend if you do we're over".

I thought about for a while before I answered.

"I do so I guess we're over then". i smirk

"Aww look how cute you are when your trying to be funny". she ruffled my hair.

I bit my lip to hold back my anger and started the car.

Stupid bitch

We walked into school together, my hand around her waist. I tried to think about something, anything to block out her annoying voice. Nothing work until I saw my group.

"I'm gonna go". I told Apple, I quickly kiss her cheek before she could kiss me and I walked off.

"Heads up".

My best friend Dale said and threw a football my way. I watch it spin in the air as it comes towards me and I catch it with one hand.

I threw it back and he catch it the same. Dale had been my best friend since freshman year, we have a good relationship as friends. The only time he's annoying is when he tries to tell me I'm gay. Like why the hell does he thinks that. He and i almost look alike we have the same brown curly hair, blue eye, his is like the a pale blue and mine is bright. Same height, same tattoo, tan skin but I'm more muscular than him and he talks really fast. You don't want him to tell you a story.

"What's up?, you look angry".

He's the only one that can see I'm not happy with Apple, he told me to leave her but me being stubborn and want to keep my reputation avoided his advice.

"Apple". I mumbled.

He pat me on my back and we walked into school, leaving the rest of the group behind.

"I'm telling you just dump her, you're not happy with your relationship".

"I know but-".

"You could have found a cute guy already, you cou-".

"Wait what?".

Dale roll his eyes.

"I'm not gay". i huff

"Keep telling yourself that".

He open my locker for me and took out my book.

"Nothing". I hiss.

I continue to stare at Casey until the teacher motioned his hand for him to take a seat. He sat at the front in the corner across the room from us. while the teacher talk, he watched her lips the whole time. She was even talking slower than usual but I didn't think of it as anything. I watch the boy for almost half the class, just staring at him as he stared at the teacher.

"Can't keep your eyes off him eh". Dale smirk.

I roll my eyes and turn back to the teacher.

When the bell rang, everyone got up. Casey didn't get up until he saw everyone moving. I had to admit he was weird. He watch the teacher's lips, he doesn't talk and he don't know when class is dismissed.

"Why don't we go talk to him?". Dale suggested when we were in the hall.

"No way, bye". Apple said as if no one would miss her.

"Casey!". Dale called.

I hit his chest. Thankful casey didn't look but kept walking.

"Is he okay?". Dale ask before pulling me after the kid.

When we reached him Dale touch him shoulder and he jumped and turned around.

"Hi". he whispered, I could hardly hear it.

"Uh hi my name is Dale and this is-". Dale was cut of.

"Too fast". Casey said watching Dale's lips.

"My name is malik". I said slowly.

Casey smile and nod, his smile was so sweet. I'm just saying, I'm not gay though.
