"Tis game scare me". he said and hug the cushion.

I threw the controller at Dale and he began to play, Casey watched as Dale use a gun on the cops and how he rode his bike and lost the rest. Dale had to go home when his phone rang, he ruffled Casey's hair before he left. Casey was playing Mario and I figured I should tell him how I feel, about him. I was thinking maybe it will help me know what I want.

I tap his shoulder and he pause the game, looking at me. I took in a deep breath before I talked.

"Do... you... like ... me?". he quickly nod and smile after he read my lips but I think he got it wrong.

"Would you kiss me?". He tilt his head to the side but his expression didn't change..

He nod again but I didn't think he was getting it.

"I took out my phone and wrote the word 'boyfriend' and showed him.

"Boy fren?".

I decided to drop it and hug him before getting up to go start dinner and make brownies. My mom came down later and took over, saying she didn't want me to spoil dinner because Sidney would be joining us. I roll my eyes. I could still cook and it taste good. Sidney came later looking well rested like my mom she came with Casey's English book and then I remembered we had homework. We did it while the mom's talked downstairs. Casey was having problem with it, it was expository writing and I get why he was having problem. He was almost going to cry until I hug him and helped him. I made him write his story first then I corrected him. He picked the topic 'why I didn't take the short cut again' while I wrote about an old woman. His story sounded great if you took the time and read it with understanding. It didn't take long to correct him because he was a fast learner and when we were finish I felt proud of him. We did a little talking after that and I corrected him, he still pronounced his words differently but I didn't mind. I like him that way he was cute.

It's Sunday and I'm helping my mom in the kitchen. I was cutting up the vegetables while she mix the ingredients for her pie. Casey and Sidney are having dinner with us, they will be coming soon.

"So how's your relationship with Casey?". mom ask.

"What do you mean?"i ask.

"Like are you guys friends or more than friends".

"Just friends, nothing more why?".

"Nothing, why don't you ask him out?". She ask and I sighed.

"I'm not gay, why do you want me to be with him so badly?".

"Coz, I've always wanted a gay son". she smile.

"No surprise there". i roll my eyes.

"And you say you aren't gay but your mind is". i stop cutting.

"What do you mean?".

"I'm good but looks like someone is a little upset". i look at Casey who walked past us.

"He's fine just not in a good mood".

"Oh okay".

We walked into the kitchen where my mom was pouring her ingredients into the baking tin.

"Hey Sidney just in time, I'm starting my chocolate cake next".

"Oh I wanna help". Sidney said and dance over to my mom and they both laugh.

I smile and went into the living room where Casey was switching through the channels. I sat beside him and he look at me but turn back to the tv.

"What is like?". he ask looking at the tv.

"What?". i ask when he looked at me.

"To hear, what is like to hear, I don member". he turn to me with tears filled eyes. "I can not know someone talkin til I see them. I can not know the rado on til I touch it, all I hear is silence, fuckin silence".
