“Fifties? You’re not sixty yet, so that’s not old at all. But you can retire early if you want. Since you think you’re too old to perform your duties, then you can just take an early retirement. I won’t trouble you with the company matters either.

“After all, it’s the company that’s a lot of work.”

The family matters only involved sending everyone gifts during the holiday season and paying respects to their departed ancestors. If arguments or conflicts arose within the family that they could not resolve themselves, they would look to the head of the family to pass judgment.
