"Hey! Don't talk to her like that," Zander said, moving to stand in front of her protectively.
It was obvious that he had a crush on Kat. Or maybe not...But then again, he's always protective of her and blushes when around her. Ok focus Daphne! Then again, what do I know?
"You shut up you disgusting blood su-" Arron started but got caught off by Zander.
"How bout you shut up mutt!" He spat out with venom.
Arron, dumb, and dumber just growled. Okay.... The air was thick with tension. Was Arron about to say blood sucker? Did they just growl? Why did Zander call him a mutt? I'm confused. Really confused.
Apparently I wasn't the only one confused because Kat gave me a confused look as well. Eh, I'll find out later. I turned around and was about to have a snappy comeback but, then I saw Arron's face. His cheeks were puffed!
I don't think he ever notices he does that. I bursted out laughing, ending up in people just looking at me weird, including my friends. At least the tension in the air was fading.
My friends turned to look at Arron who still had his cheeks puffed out. They caught on and started laughing as well. I had only ever told them my observation. My stomach was starting to hurt from laughing so hard. Arron looked annoyed as we laughed, Ben looked amused and Luke, well... he just looked plain confused. Which only made me laugh harder.
"Okay okay, break it up all of you, the bell is going to ring so go to class!" said a random teacher I didn't know.
By now everyone was starting to leave and Arron stormed off to who knows where. And of course like lost puppies, Ben and Luke followed. I decided to ignore him and went to my locker.
"Woah there, you were crazy back there," I said to Zan and winked at him.
He blushed. See what I mean? Aww. He was embarrassed for over protecting Kat. Or... was there more that meets the eye. Or is more that doesn't meet the eye? Ok now I'm confusing myself.
"Yeah that was intense," Kat said to Zan.
He stayed silent not meeting our eyes. Ok then.
Briiiiiing!
The bell rang and we left for our classes but, for some reason I had a feeling that it was going to be a long day.
Arron's POV
"I hate that stupid vampire. I just want to tear him to shreds!" I yell annoyed, feeling the rage inside of me starting to come out in waves.
"Me too, I want to yank his fangs and feed them to him!" Ben yelled, punching a locker.
"I want to do the same but let's chill a second before we do something we'll regret," Luke said surprisingly calm.
"Woah. Did that just come out of your mouth?" Ben asked surprised, completely forgetting his anger.
"Yep, oh my moon goddess, that just came out of my mouth! What did you do to me?! You're supposed to be the voice of reason Ben! Your slacking!" Luke yelled at Ben, horrified.
I would have laughed if I was in the mood. But I'm not.
"I'm ditching. See you guys at the pack house later," I said already walking away.
"Yeah yeah," Luke said distractedly, still bickering.
I let out a sigh of exasperation. I feel like I need to punch something. I walked out of the school and got in my car and went to the pack house to relax and get my mind off the bleep saucer.
Daphne's POV
It's now lunch time and so far I haven't seen Arron so that's good. I don't have to deal with him. I grab myself a slice of pizza and a water and go to sit down with Zan and Kat. I don't know how they always beat me here. Anyways, Zan still looked mad.
"Hey guys whatcha talking bout?" I ask sitting down.
I went back to my friends and sat down.
"We're sorry," they said together again.
What's up with them? Oh right, the 'secret'.
"Yeah, yeah. Okay guess what? So you know how Arron's birthday is in a couple of days...?"
They nodded, narrowing their eyes at me knowing one of my ideas were coming into play.
"Well, I'm thinking of giving him a surprise," I said.
"What?" Asked Kat, looking at me as if I were crazy.
"I thought he was your worst enemy," asked Zan confusedy.
"Guys, it's like you don't know me, it's going to be a prank!" I shout with a smirk.
"That makes a lot more sense," said Zan, nodding his head.
"We're in," said Kat, clapping her hands together.
That's all I needed to hear. I smiled evilly as I devised my plan.
Arron's POV
I wake up and get dressed early since we have a meeting on the upcoming war with the vampires. Luckily, it's Saturday morning so I don't have to miss any school. I really don't mind school but, there's really no point for it because whether I like it or not, I'm going to become Alpha. I won't be able to go to college, get a job, or have a normal life. Of course I've accepted that since I was young but, it doesn't mean I'm happy about it. Now don't get me wrong, I love my pack and am honored to become Alpha but, I just want to do other things as well.
