Hattie was caught off guard; she never imagined Oliver would actually go along with it.

Calix was equally taken aback. "You're really on board with this?"

"Absolutely. The child isn't just mine; Josie brought him into this world. She's gone through so much, she deserves to call the shots," Oliver replied, as earnest as ever.

In Oliver's dark eyes, there was only Josefina. Wherever she went, his gaze followed, and so did he.

Calix, sitting nearby, glanced between Oliver and Josefina. He hadn't even had dinner yet, and here he was, getting a hearty serving of romance instead.

Oliver was completely smitten, his eyes glued to Josefina no matter where she was.

Annika came in, carrying dinner. "Ms. Josefina, you wanted some spaghetti carbonara. It's all set."

Josefina's face lit up as she walked over. Just the mention of food always lifted her spirits. Oliver had taken her back to his place, and when she suddenly craved Annika's spaghetti carbonara, he didn't hesitate to bring her back.

Josefina dug into the steaming pasta, while Oliver sat across from her, joining in the meal.

Hattie and Calix had already eaten dinner, but watching the two enjoy their food so much made their stomachs grumble in sync.

Sharing a knowing smile, Hattie and Calix asked Annika to bring over two more plates of pasta so they could join Josefina and Oliver.

In the dining area, Calix felt a pang of guilt as he twirled his fork through the pasta.

"After this, I'm definitely hitting the gym for a couple of hours," he declared.

Hattie chuckled, "Carter, you're already so fit. One more meal won't hurt."

"Make sure to save the best seats for my sister and her husband. The venue needs to look fantastic. My sister's coming, and I want everything to be perfect."

His manager was momentarily speechless.

Scott, his manager, chimed in, "Calix, if you put even half this energy into dating, you wouldn't have been single for so long."

Calix chuckled, "As if you'd let me date."

"Dating's on pause, but dreaming is allowed. You've been in the industry for ages, and I've never seen you take an interest in anyone. Having an artist like you is a dream—good money, low drama, easygoing. Absolutely ideal."

Calix just sighed. "Alright, alright. Just make sure everything's spot-on. My sister and the fans can't be disappointed. Budget's not an issue, just make it happen."
