Oliver stood by the window, his gaze stretching out over the horizon. With his home sprawling beneath him, he felt like a king surveying his domain.

Alfie chimed in, “You’ve got it all wrong, Oliver. Josie chose you, so you've got to trust her. If you’re having doubts, I wouldn’t hesitate to advise my apprentice to leave you!”

Oliver let out a deep sigh, “Walter, Josie’s been having these awful nightmares, keeping her awake. She said she dreamed of being tied to an operating table and injected with something.”

Alfie was momentarily caught off guard, struggling to respond without giving anything away. “I’ll talk to Josie. She’s been fretting over too much and it's wearing her out.”

Switching gears, Oliver asked, “Is Logan missing?”

Caught off guard again, Alfie realized he couldn’t keep it under wraps any longer. “Yeah, Logan’s run off, and we haven’t been able to find him. Please don’t tell Josie yet; I’m worried she won’t take it well.”

“I’ll help look for Logan. As for Josie’s mysterious past, Walter, you might want to think about it,” Oliver said before hanging up.

Meanwhile, Idea Tech’s latest product launch was blowing up on social media. Reid was taken aback to see the company, once teetering on the edge, not just surviving but thriving. Albert was just as shocked. Dominic’s failed tech company had turned a profit under new management.

Josefina heard the buzz and Reid called her in. “Sis, check out this promo video from Idea Tech.”

Josefina sat down with her phone, watching intently. Reid had set up a milkshake, snacks, and dried fruits like she was the boss and he was her loyal assistant. Everyone else was used to it—Reid’s devotion to his sister was no secret.

Reid drove up to his tech company, and Jackie rushed over as soon as he arrived. “Boss, you’re finally here. We’ve been waiting forever.”

Josefina chuckled, “If you needed me, why didn’t you just call?”

Jackie hesitated, “We didn’t dare. Dorian said not to bother you with the little stuff. He said you’ve got bigger fish to fry, and we shouldn’t add to your workload.”
