Reid clutched the gold bars like they were his childhood treasure, while Josefina stood beside him, blushing from the overwhelming generosity.

"Lena's been spending the family's money like water. I think this gold should go to Mom and Dad," she suggested hesitantly.

Hattie, with a warm smile, reassured her, "Josie, don't even think about turning it down. That gold is yours."

Garrett added firmly, "Our money is your money, Josie. Just take it."

With everyone insistently nudging her, Josefina couldn't refuse. She pulled out a sleek black card and set it on the table.

"This is all I've found so far, but I'll do another sweep later. Who would've thought Lena had a secret compartment? I need to figure out what's written on this card."

Hattie nodded, "Take your time, Josie. If you hit a wall, we'll get someone else to look at it."

Josefina knew her mom was trying not to add to her stress. A mysterious black card was indeed a tough nut to crack.

"If I can't make heads or tails of it, I'll get a professional," Josefina promised.

Garrett's face was grave, "To think we had a wolf in sheep's clothing among us. The money we gave her, she splurged some, gave some away, and probably used the rest to buy these gold bars. Good thing Josie found them; otherwise, Lena would've had the last laugh!"

Just then, Josefina's phone buzzed with a message from Annika. Grandpa Robert and Emily had arrived.
