Just then, Oliver pulled up to the café, spotting Josefina's 'do not approach' vibe, he quickly got out of the car.

"Finley, what are you doing?" Oliver approached, standing protectively beside Josefina.

"I was just asking Josefina for Livia's number," Finley explained.

Oliver, shifting his tone, said, "Josie, go wait in the car. It's too hot out here."

With a nod, Josefina headed towards Oliver's car.

Outside, Oliver's demeanor changed from gentle to firm. "Finley, what's your angle here? Still trying to play games? Planning on hurting Livia again?"

"Oliver, why aren’t you on my side here? I genuinely want to apologize to Livia, but I can’t reach her," Finley protested.

"If she's avoiding you, it’s clear she doesn’t want to talk, right?" Oliver was clearly annoyed now.

"Going after her now would just be like rubbing salt in the wound. Are you trying to make things right or just haunt her?" Oliver pressed.

"I..., " Finley faltered, unable to define his intentions.

Oliver clapped him on the shoulder, "If you can't make it right, then let it be. And don’t go through Josie to get to Livia. It’s not happening, ok?"

Finley was left speechless as Oliver walked away, taking Josefina with him, leaving Finley alone with his thoughts.
