Livia finally had enough of Lisa's fussing and sent her packing, confident she could handle things on her own.

Once her place was tidied up, Livia threw on a baseball cap and headed down to the local bakery, loading up on a bunch of bread for a cozy night in. But just as she was about to head back, a shadowy figure jumped out, blocking her way.

"Livia..."

That voice was unmistakable, and Livia couldn't help but roll her eyes.

"Finley, seriously? You used to ignore me all the time, and now what? You can't get enough of this?"

Finley, unfazed by her sharp words, held out a bag. "Livia, I got you some vitamins. They're good for you."

"Really, Finley? What's your deal? We have nothing between us. You showing up like this... It's just weird. Can you please just go away?"

Determined to shake him off, Livia brushed past him.

Finley, not ready to give up, hurried after her. "Livia, wait. Can we just talk?"

Livia picked up her pace, ignoring him completely.

She breezed through the gated entrance of their complex. When she turned around, there was Finley, flashing his access card with a smug grin. "Guess what? I bought a place here too."

Livia let out a sigh, her voice icy, "Finley, I'm warning you. Come any closer, and you'll regret it."

Unfazed, she turned and walked away, radiating cool detachment.

Finley, desperate to get through to her, barely got a word out before Livia whipped out a small knife, nicking his outstretched hand.
