Chapter 733
The truth behind Maggie and Franklin’s relationship slowly dawned on Yale, just as it sank in for nearly every guest scattered across
he lavish ballroom.
Once that realization fully landed Yale froze where he stood, his feet rooted firmly to the polished marble floor.
Maggie…
he was Franklin’s ex-wife?
lis mind struggled to wrap itself around this bombshell. How could that possibly be real?
lex and Yves also worked through the shocking revelation that Isabella was Maggie’s daughter, and the logical chain quickly clicked
nto place for both men.
ust like Yale, they were left thoroughly confused, their earlier assumptions completely shattered.
ves stared in open-mouthed disbelief, his eyes darting back and forth between Maggie’s spot across the room and Franklin’s
osition nearby.
Who on earth could have seen this coming? You’d never guess anything like this from the way they carry themselves in public. No
vonder Johnny barely reacted when we sent over those photos before. Now it all makes sense.”
He was so stunned he could barely find the right words to describe how wildly off-balance he felt.
lex stayed quiet, yet his inner state mirrored Yves’.
He had never suspected for a single second that Maggie had once been married to Franklin. Their public interactions at corporate nixers and high-end galas were always so strictly professional, so emotionally distant, that no outsider would ever guess there was uch a deep personal history buried beneath the surface.
While the rest of the crowd lingered in stunned silence, Johnny tilted his head, a faint, knowing smirk tugging at the corner of his nouth. He lifted his gaze and locked eyes directly with Yale.
So, Yale,” Johnny said, his voice cutting cleanly through the low hum of surrounding whispers. “Do you have anything you’d like to ay for yourself?”
he instant Johnny finished speaking, the whole ballroom fell quiet. Every pair of eyes drifted toward the two men.
‘ale remained caught up in his own state of shock, thrown completely off-balance by everything that had just unfolded.
till, he turned his gaze toward Maggie and pressed his lips into a tight, thin line.
ven knowing Maggie was supposedly Franklin’s ex-wife, he still clung firmly to his original stance.
At that exact moment, Julia stepped forward, her tone soft and measured as she drew every eye toward herself.
Mr. Gray, my old classmate is definitely in the wrong here. I want to offer you my apologies on his behalf.”
chapter 733
Julia was still reeling from Isabella’s sudden appearance. Yet she had picked up on the collective assumption spreading through the room everyone believed Maggie was Franklin’s ex-wife.
she recognized this as a golden chance to salvage her own position.
f the conflict died down right here and now, she might still turn the whole situation to her advantage.
ohnny kept his smile, yet there was no warmth hiding underneath it. “Ms. Brown, I’m talking to Yale. Have some basic courtesy and tay out of this conversation, okay?”
ulia had no intention of backing down so easily. She maintained her gentle, diplomatic smile. “Mr. Gray, this whole mess started
because of me-”
ohnny let out a sharp, cold scoff. He shot her a sharp, side-long glance, done wasting energy dancing around her deflection tactics. le ignored her entirely and refocused his attention straight on Yale.
Well, Yale? You stay quiet and let a woman do your fighting for you?”
ulia’s composure cracked. Her features tightened. She took a slow, deep breath and looked over toward Yale. “Yale-”
‘ale could plainly tell Johnny held nothing but contempt for Julia.
hat observation stoked his irritation all over again, and his expression hardened.

Alguém saberia dizer o que houve com o livro, sem atualização a tempos...
Nada de episódio novo?...
Does the book stop? When are we going to get a new chapter?...
Olá, A história parou no capítulo 288? O nome do livro me gerou mais expectativas, quando ela realmente vai desprezar os dois e brilhar???...
Everytime I read new updates I am hoping to see Maggie completely moving on with her life not always checking where Franklin is up to with Julia. I think everyone reading this story by now understand that Franklin doesn't care about Julia. So what is the point of always pointing out how indifferent Franklin is to Maggie and how attentive he is towards Julia....
What does Helen mean Maggie is still married? Married to whom? Franklin has made it clear that he doesn't consider her anything and is flaunting his relationship with Julia for anyone who has eyes to witness it.So Maggie should wait for the divorce to be finalized to date. Isn't that double standards. And Franklin is dragging the divorce deliberately since divorced or not he does what he wants without any consequences. Really women are emotionally oppressed even authors only know that point of view 😕...
I feel sad for Maggie and all married women who have to endure emotional abuse with no end in sight. By the look of it,Franklin doesn't want to divorce Maggie for whatever reason. Either the reason is good or bad, Maggie shouldn't be humiliated like this just because she loves him. And the grandmother should be helping her get a divorce not emotionally blackmailing her, if she really cared about her. Franklin is using Maggie's love for the grandmother to abuse her. Is really loving people wrong? Author this one-sided hurt is not right. Let Maggie move on with dignity. It shouldn't end up with Franklin professing his love for her and her accepting it....
