Chapter 756 Could Maggie Be Behind This?
Before they could fully process what was happening, court officers showed up and began sealing the company’s servers and source code.
The commotion at Brown Tech was impossible to hide. Word quickly spread that the Brown family’s business was collapsing.
Levi and Harry got the news soon after.
They had not spoken with Franklin since the previous night.
They had seen everything that blew up online after the gala, and now this disaster had crashed down on the Browns…
Levi said, “Franklin can’t really step in to help them under these circumstances, right?”
If Franklin openly bailed out the Browns right now and word got out, public opinion would explode even worse.
Harry nodded.
Levi could not hold back his question. “What if… Maggie is behind all of this?”
Cole Corporation and Jamison Group had built a tight working partnership.
The scandal at the gala had barely broken out, and then the Brown family’s company fell apart right after.
The timing felt far too neat.
Whoever pulled the strings had even calculated that Franklin would be trapped and unable to lend a hand.
Harry paused for a moment, then shook his head. “I don’t know.”
After the gala, Levi had sent people over to Miami to dig up information.
By now, he was fully certain that every single thing Johnny had revealed about the Browns and Greens the night
before was the absolute truth.
Levi muttered, “I wonder what Franklin is thinking.”
Even as he asked, he believed Franklin would not cut Julia off just because of what had happened at the gala.
Harry replied, “Yeah, I think so too.”
He felt the same way.

Levi fell silent.
A short while later, Levi still sent Franklin a message.
[Do you need Harry and me to help?]
His offer covered the mess Franklin was currently facing, and naturally included the crisis crushing the Brown family
as well.
Maggie only slept roughly three hours before waking.
As soon as she was up, Johnny and Jason told her what had happened to the Brown family’s company.
Maggie looked genuinely surprised.
Johnny said, “Plenty of people out there are guessing we’re behind this.”
Maggie had already expected others to jump to that conclusion.
She listened quietly and did not offer any response.
Johnny went on. “I checked with contacts at Jamison Group. So far, Franklin hasn’t stepped in personally to rescue the
Browns.”
Maggie spoke in a calm, low tone. “It’s not the right moment for him to show his face.”
Johnny curled his lip. “That’s what I thought. And the Wilson family will most likely hold him back anyway.”
Even though Franklin had refused to speak up for Julia during the gala the night before, he had known all about the bad blood between Maggie, the Browns and the Greens for a long time.
He knew everything, yet he had loved Julia fiercely without hesitation.
Johnny did not believe Franklin would abandon Julia just because of the gala incident.
Franklin’s failure to intervene right now was probably just him waiting for the perfect opening, not proof he had

Alguém saberia dizer o que houve com o livro, sem atualização a tempos...
Nada de episódio novo?...
Does the book stop? When are we going to get a new chapter?...
Olá, A história parou no capítulo 288? O nome do livro me gerou mais expectativas, quando ela realmente vai desprezar os dois e brilhar???...
Everytime I read new updates I am hoping to see Maggie completely moving on with her life not always checking where Franklin is up to with Julia. I think everyone reading this story by now understand that Franklin doesn't care about Julia. So what is the point of always pointing out how indifferent Franklin is to Maggie and how attentive he is towards Julia....
What does Helen mean Maggie is still married? Married to whom? Franklin has made it clear that he doesn't consider her anything and is flaunting his relationship with Julia for anyone who has eyes to witness it.So Maggie should wait for the divorce to be finalized to date. Isn't that double standards. And Franklin is dragging the divorce deliberately since divorced or not he does what he wants without any consequences. Really women are emotionally oppressed even authors only know that point of view 😕...
I feel sad for Maggie and all married women who have to endure emotional abuse with no end in sight. By the look of it,Franklin doesn't want to divorce Maggie for whatever reason. Either the reason is good or bad, Maggie shouldn't be humiliated like this just because she loves him. And the grandmother should be helping her get a divorce not emotionally blackmailing her, if she really cared about her. Franklin is using Maggie's love for the grandmother to abuse her. Is really loving people wrong? Author this one-sided hurt is not right. Let Maggie move on with dignity. It shouldn't end up with Franklin professing his love for her and her accepting it....
