Chapter 765 She Didn’t Come Along
“Okay, Mommy. Then… goodbye.”
Maggie hadn’t expected her to end the call so quickly, yet she said nothing out of the ordinary. “Alright. Get some rest soon.”
“Mm. Goodnight, Mommy.”
Once the call disconnected, Isabella turned and headed straight downstairs. She looked at the housekeeper. “Did you call Mommy just
now?”
The housekeeper nodded gently. “I did. I was worried because you wouldn’t eat, so I told your mother.”
Isabella hung her head and said no more. She pivoted and trundled back up the staircase.
The next morning, Isabella woke up and deliberately stayed in her room instead of coming down for breakfast.
Franklin finished his meal and climbed the stairs to knock at her bedroom door. “Daddy’s heading out for a bit. I’ll be back this
afternoon.”
Isabella was still upset with him. She turned her face away and ignored his words, but then something crossed her mind. She glanced toward him, opening her mouth as if she wanted to speak, yet hesitated.
Franklin noticed her conflicted expression and brushed his palm over the top of her hair. “What do you want to say?”
Isabella parted her lips, only to shake her head at last. “Nothing.“/
Franklin did not push her further. “Call me if anything comes up.”
With that, he turned and left the house.
It was only after Franklin had been gone for a while that Isabella slowly made her way down to eat breakfast.
Sara watched her and noticed her mood had dimmed from when she first woke up. “What’s wrong? Did something happen?”
Isabella shook her head and kept quiet, staring down as she picked at her food.
Sara figured Franklin must have said something to her before leaving.
After lunch that same day, Isabella went upstairs for her afternoon nap. But when she opened her eyes again, she found herself ut an unfamiliar room.
She froze, still trying to process where she was, when Franklin pushed the door open and stepped inside.
She glared hard at him. “How did I get here?”
Franklin replied, “I brought you out frær a trip.”
Chapter 765 She Didn’t Come Along
Isabella shot up from the bed right away, facing him defiantly. “I told you I don’t want-”
“Isabella! You’re awake!”
Before Isabella could finish her Sentence, Daisy came running toward her with bright excitement.
The words died abruptly in her throat. “Oh… hi.”
Daisy paid no attention to the tense air hanging between father and daughter. She rushed over and wrapped Isabella in a tight hug.
Isabella hugged her back. “When did you get to New York?”
“We left early this morning and arrived at noon,” Daisy said cheerfully. “Uncle Harry said he wanted to hang out with me for a few days before school starts, so I came!”
After chatting for a moment with Daisy, Isabella learned they were bound for an island getaway. They were still aboard the yacht and hadn’t reached their destination yet.
When she finished washing up and stepped out of the guest room, Franklin was no longer inside.
She and Daisy walked out together to meet Franklin and the others. Halfway there, Isabella’s footsteps stalled.
Daisy tilted her head, confused. “Isabella? What’s the matter?”
Isabella shook her head. “Nothing.”

The readers' comments on the novel: Mr. CEO Your Wife Has Wanted a Divorce for a Long Time
Alguém saberia dizer o que houve com o livro, sem atualização a tempos...
Nada de episódio novo?...
Does the book stop? When are we going to get a new chapter?...
Olá, A história parou no capítulo 288? O nome do livro me gerou mais expectativas, quando ela realmente vai desprezar os dois e brilhar???...
Everytime I read new updates I am hoping to see Maggie completely moving on with her life not always checking where Franklin is up to with Julia. I think everyone reading this story by now understand that Franklin doesn't care about Julia. So what is the point of always pointing out how indifferent Franklin is to Maggie and how attentive he is towards Julia....
What does Helen mean Maggie is still married? Married to whom? Franklin has made it clear that he doesn't consider her anything and is flaunting his relationship with Julia for anyone who has eyes to witness it.So Maggie should wait for the divorce to be finalized to date. Isn't that double standards. And Franklin is dragging the divorce deliberately since divorced or not he does what he wants without any consequences. Really women are emotionally oppressed even authors only know that point of view 😕...
I feel sad for Maggie and all married women who have to endure emotional abuse with no end in sight. By the look of it,Franklin doesn't want to divorce Maggie for whatever reason. Either the reason is good or bad, Maggie shouldn't be humiliated like this just because she loves him. And the grandmother should be helping her get a divorce not emotionally blackmailing her, if she really cared about her. Franklin is using Maggie's love for the grandmother to abuse her. Is really loving people wrong? Author this one-sided hurt is not right. Let Maggie move on with dignity. It shouldn't end up with Franklin professing his love for her and her accepting it....
