I grabbed all my stuff and escaped back to Chicago with Zane.

On the plane, I blocked Quinn’s email and handed in my resignation to HR.

Zane sat next to me, I felt a sudden burst of courage and asked, "Mind taking a photo with me?"

He gave me a perfunctory response and then looked up.

I took a photo of me and Zane and posted it in the work group.

Then I left the group.

Zane’s face turned pale. "You’re announcing it in your work group?"

"Uh-huh." I nodded. "The work group has Quinn's work account."

Zane was a bit surprised. "You didn’t add him on Instagram?"

I shook my head.

Zane sighed. "Spreading rumors with me, you’re not losing out."

He then handed me a tissue.

"Stop crying, bro will find a good man for you when we get back."

Great, I just got back from California, and it seems like my dad is still not giving up, trying to set me up with an older man.

I turned off my phone and sent Zane a message:

[Don’t tell anyone where I am, including my dad.]

I aimlessly scrolled through my phone. Quinn, this scumbag, didn’t even contact me?
