Ten minutes after I told my father I wanted to return to inherit the family business, I received this message.

You're just angry because Dad hit you earlier today and are trying to put on a show for us," Gerhard said, crossing his arms and speaking with disdain. "You broke Aunt Lindsay White's favorite vase. Isn't it only natural for Dad to hit you?"

"Only Aunt Lindsay is kind-hearted enough not to hold a grudge. If it were anyone else, with her family's power, they could easily make sure you never stay in Mistral Bay again. I suggest you quickly invite her to dinner and apologize properly."

Gerhard didn't know my true identity. I was someone who could easily outshine Lindsay White by eight streets.
