The second time I saw Andrew was three days later at a networking event.

He had come to Sealand at a friend's recommendation, hoping to seek help from the Swan Group.

As I approached the door, I could hear voices inside.

"Andrew, don't worry! Ms. Swan may be young, but she's incredibly capable. She became the head of the Swan Group at such a young age."

"As long as she's willing to step in and handle your business, your company will surely bounce back!"

"It all depends on whether Ms. Swan wants to help you!"

I pushed the door open, and everyone turned to look at me.

Bruno, one of my subordinates from the branch office, smiled and came over. "Ms. Swan, so nice to meet you."

He shot a glance at Andrew, signaling for him to come over and toast to me.

Andrew approached cautiously, holding a glass of wine.

But as soon as he saw me, he froze.

"Caroline?"

His eyes suddenly welled up with tears. "Caroline, what are you doing here? I've been looking for you!"

Bruno's smile widened, and he looked back and forth between Andrew and me.

"I didn't realize Andrew and Ms. Swan were old acquaintances." He then turned to Andrew. "You knew Ms. Swan, such a powerful lady, for a long time, and you didn't tell me sooner?"

Andrew looked taken aback. "Ms. Swan?"

He stared at me in disbelief. "Y-you are Ms. Swan from the Swan Group?"

I ignored him and smiled at Bruno.

"Oh, so you meant Andrew when you said someone wanted to meet me today."

Earlier, I had received an invitation from Bruno saying someone wanted to arrange a meeting with me.

Since Bruno had been around for a while, I decided to honor his request.

I never expected that the person would be Andrew.

Seeing our expressions, Bruno looked puzzled.

"Ms. Swan, do you and Andrew know each other well? You don't seem very familiar."

I looked Andrew up and down and smiled.

"Well, I would say we're acquainted. I'm the ex-wife that Andrew divorced to marry a young, beautiful secretary."

"Weren't you here to talk business? Bruno, how could you embarrass Andrew like this..."

Then her eyes landed on my face, turning her pallid.

"Caroline! It's you!"

I chuckled and slowly turned around. "So it's Mrs. Jefferson. I assume you've received my wedding gift by now?"

Bonnie looked confused. "What wedding gift?"

She eyed me suspiciously. "You must be joking?"

I laughed more brightly. "Of course! If I weren't so generous, why would your husband come to me asking for help?"

Some people caught on to my words, including Andrew.

He looked up in shock. "Caroline! Did you make those companies cancel their contracts with me?"

Of course, that was me.

Had I not made arrangements, Andrew wouldn't be in this situation today.

I raised my glass and took a slow sip from it.

"Honestly, it's only fair, Andrew. The funds you used to start your business were provided by me. Now that we're divorced, isn't it only right that I reclaim what's mine?" I said with my eyes on Bruno.
