*********Trigger Warning Torture***************
Lisa POV
This can’t be happening. How could she get a wolf and an Alpha mate? How could that b**ch Della know all that my father and I had done? A maniacal laugh has my eyes flying open. Where the f**k am I? I try to move my hands, but thick chains hold them in place. I look around and fear grips me when my eyes meet a set as black as night. When I finally take in the woman’s complete appearance, I pull against the chains.
“I’m glad to see you’re awake. I was just about to give you a wake–up call that you wouldn’t have enjoyed,” she says, moving to stand in front of me. The woman is covered in scars. Her skin is gray. Her black hair looks like it hasn’t been combed in years. Her clothes are ripped, and her eyes look dead. “Who are you?” “Oh how silly of me. I forgot my manners. I am Tanith, the Goddess of Torture,” she says with a sinister smile on her face. I swallow a lump of fear.
“Why am I here? I’ve done nothing wrong.” She throws her head back and laughs. “You can’t hide from your wrongdoing here. I’ve seen every twisted, despicable thing you’ve done. I’ve seen how you not only stood by but encouraged your father to harm innocent omegas,” she says. “You can’t hold me accountable for what he did.” “You’re right, but I can hold you accountable for what you did. Believe me, he will feel my wrath as well. Right now he is being made comfortable by my sister,” she says.
“Now, before we begin, I have something to show you,” she says as she moves across the room. “I don’t want to see anything you want to show me,” I scream. She smiles as she turns to look at me. She moves her fingers across her lips like she is closing a zipper. This b**ch is totally crazy. I try to tell her as much, but I can’t speak. “Can’t have you waisting your screams. Besides, I don’t want to hear you crying like a b**ch when I show you what you cost yourself until I’m ready,” she says.
The wall lights up and I immediately know it’s the royal pack. A few seconds later two devastatingly handsome men who are identical step into the foyer. My heart beats faster, and I immediately know they are meant to be mine even without scenting them. These men are my mates. My wolf, who has been silent, purrs at the sight of them. Seconds pass and I wonder what they are waiting for, but I don’t have to wait long.
A parade of she–wolves walks out following that b**ch Maddy, who is dressed like she is attending a ball. Two growls draw my attention back to the men that are meant to be mine. My heart feels like it is being torn from my chest as they rush toward the women. No, I scream, but no sound will come out. They each pick up a woman growling out the word

mate. This time, when I scream, the sound fills the air around me.

I look at the evil woman who is smiling like she won the lottery. “Please, I’m sorry. Don’t do this. Don’t give my mates to someone else,” I plead. “It’s too late. Do you really think Selene would allow you to have two blessed Alphas after what you have done? No, you are dead, and your bond has been given to two deserving she–wolves. Maddison and Myra have proven to my sister they are nothing like you. They have learned the value of others,” she says.
I look back at the scene and realize that is exactly who my mates are holding in their arms. I sob seeing them kiss the men that should be kissing me. “All you had to do was be a decent person. Do what was right even if your father was an evil ba**ard, but instead you chose to join in,” she says. “He was my dad. He told me that they were worthless. I didn’t know better. I followed his lead.”
She again throws her head back and laughs. “Maybe when you were a child, but you aren’t a child anymore. You stood by while your father r*ped, tortured, and murdered omegas. You laughed while they cried and screamed. You are as guilty as he is and for that you will suffer for eternity here with me. Not only that, but your fated mates will now belong to someone else,” she says. I’m just about to scream when a woman appears. She has long flowing red hair, and she is surrounded by a glowing light.
“Sister, I wasn’t expecting you,” Tanith says. “I want her wolf. Most of my creatures are unfortunately trapped by the evil of their humans, but this one did not stand down knowing what she had done. Mora will not get a second chance after defending Lisa’s atrocities,” the woman says. “Moon Goddess,” I say, and her eyes meet mine. I drop my eyes to the ground feeling her judgment.
“Please forgive me. Forgive Mora for defending me. She wasn’t there for what happened.” “Yo u’ll find I am a forgiving goddess unlike my sisters, but what you have done is unforgivable. Your father’s wolf was innocent and refused to defend him. He hasn’t allowed him to shift for years. Your wolf, however, gained all of your memories the moment of your shift and still chose to defend you. Byron will get a second chance but you and Mora will not. Now I am here to collect her,” she says.
Before I can ask what the hell she means to collect her, she reaches out placing her hand on my chest. A feeling of pain that is indescribable washes over me. It feels like I am being torn in half. I scream but she doesn’t stop. I’m not sure how long it lasts, but it feels like hours, though I’m sure it’s only minutes. When she finally moves her hand away, I feel empty. A whimper draws my attention to the small wolf that lies on the floor at my feet.
The goddess bends and speaks some words I don’t understand, and the wolf is gone. This wolf couldn’t be Mora. She looked no bigger than a regular wolf. The goddess stands and I swallow. “Mora is no more. The minute your souls were ripped apart, her blessing was taken

with it, making her nothing more than a wolf amongst the humans. She will never realize what she has lost, but she is no longer my child,” she says.
She turns and nods at Tanith wordlessly. “Please Moon Goddess I repent. Don’t leave me to suffer. Make me human. Give me a chance to atone for my mistakes. Without a word she is gone. “Atone for your mistakes. You were given several opportunities to atone for your mistakes and never took them. It is only now when faced with your punishment that you act sorry. Don’t waste your words,” she says.
