Chapter 219

Madeline and her two brothers spent Christmas in the countryside.

It was Christmas.

Right after the Christmas holiday, Madeline quickly went to join the crew of Cheers.

She played a prominent role as the composed rich lady, who stayed out of the family feuds,

Her role was likable and had a happy ending.

But since she was in a supporting role, filming wrapped up within a month, and she went back to school for classes,

Nolan personally drove Madeline to the school gate in the morning, reminding her. “Maddie, remember to skip gym class during your period. “Be good. I’ll be waiting for you at home tonight”

Madeline smiled and nodded. “Don’t worry, Nolan. I’m only on leave for a month, not starting preschool like a kid.”

“You’ll always be a kid in my eyes” Nolan said, ruffling her long hair. “Hurry inside

Madeline entered the school and glanced back. Nolan was still standing there, watching her

When Madeline arrived at the lecture hall, she texted Nolan to hurry home.

“It’s been so long. Madeline, Harper exclaimed as she pulled Madeline into a tight hug. “You’ve been away for ages. You’re super busy. When will you hire me as your assistant?”

“Ill hire you when 1 hit it big. Right now, In had a fantastic break”

I’m just a small–time actress, Madeline joked, playfully pinching Harper’s plump checks. “Looks like you

Harper’s checks turned red, and she covered her face. “Don’t say that, she

protested.

She rubbed her cheeks, wondering ‘Isn’t it a subtle way of calling me chubby?

Looks like I need to skip a few meals.

After class, Madeline asked Harper about the recent school progress. Madeline had been keeping up through online courses and self–study.

Bring on set hadn’t affected her studies.

Harper a

got excited when talking about school. I have to tell you. We got an absolutely amazing guest lecturer for our culture studies class. “He’s coming this afternoon, just for one semester, and the school went to

“Culture studies class? Madeline wasn’t too concerned. After all, the school had been adding a lot to the curriculum to enhance student skills, and the culture studies class had covered quite a bir

a seat during the first few sessions.”

List semester, they studied Philosophy, and this semester, they were focusing on Art History,

Harper couldn’t help but correct her. “Let me tell you. He’s not the kind of teacher you imagine. He’s incredibly handsome. Every class in the lecture hall was packed”

Hearing this, Madeline was a bit curious.

It wasn’t until she went to the lecture hall in the afternoon that she realized why this teacher was so popular

She sat in the large lecture hall, which was already packed, with some people even standing because there were no seats left

She noticed unfamiliar faces around her.

“He’s a nationally recognized master of oil painting and part of the National Art Academy. He’s super handsome,”

“Make sure to take good pictures later. I promised to show them to my frie

friends from other schools

I finally managed to grab a seat this time. I’ll try to ask for his WhatsApp number afterward”

Madeline leaned her head on the desk, her eyes fil

The man was as polished as jade, exuding a quiet elegance. He was tall, wearing a crisp white shirt and dress pants

His expression was kind, with attractive features. He greeted the students with a slight smile, appearing very approachable. The chatter around grew louder.

“Mr. Dalton is so handsome. Seriously, he’s drop–dead gorgeous. I can’t help but have a crush on him.”

“It would be amazing to marry someone like Mr. Dalton,

“Wow, he is so dashing”

Madeline squinted for a

a moment and couldn’t resist nudging Harper next to her. “Harper, is this teacher named Bobby Dalton?” “Yeah, you know him? I thought you didn’t.” Harper cupped her face in her hands. “He’s super handsome, right?

Harper had a dreamy smile. “The last time I talked to him, he listened with a smile. Do you know what I mean? Do you?

That night, I felt like the moonlight was shining through my window all night long”

Even though it was actually raining that night, there was moonlight in her heart.

Harper was lost in her own thoughts and didn’t notice her deskmate’s awkward and unusual behavior.

Madeline pressed her lips together, lowered her head, and held her forehead with her hand, trying to avoid being recognized by Bobby

She covered her face with both hands, perfectly concealing her appearance.

Bobby didn’t take attendance in class. Instead, the class monitor used an app

attendance.

Madeline looked at the book on the table,

As the class began, everyone quietly settled down.

Today we’re analyzing the artwork Rugged Mountains by Quincy Ochoa, Bobby said. “I mentioned this at the end of our last class.” some of you might have already

by taken a look at the painting” Bobby smiled warmly, his face filled with humility and tenderness.

He didn’t notice Madeline at all and started the lecture.

“This painting depicts a group of people traveling through the rugged mountains.

The diffs are illustrated without contour lines, painted in vibrant greens, with swirling clouds and lively figures:

He spoke clearly and slowly, revealing the painting’s mystery and captivating everyone.

Madeline unknowingly got caught up in what he was saying

In a blink, the chas was over.

As if waking from a dream, Madeline truly admired Bobby’s expertise.

As everyone prepared to leave, she picked up her books and followed the crowd to the lecture hall’s front donn

Just as she was about to step out, someone grabbed her wrist.

Thinking it was Harper, she gently held the person’s hand, feeling its warmth. Don’t rush. There’s a crowd. Watch your step.

Outside, people were buzzing with surprise all around

Madeline sensed something was wrong

Standing next to the flower bed outside the door, Harper opened her mouth wide in amazement. “Madeline, you, you….

“You’re so brave.”
