I was walking to the pack house with Landon, Liam, and Layla. I was accepted into the pack as Royal's mate two days ago and that made me smile. I've never been this happy in my life before.

"Hey if you're half vampire, don't you have to drink blood?" Layla ask.

"Well duh. You know when dad cooks. He gives me the blood of the animal." I tell her smiling as she grimace.

"Eww, that's gross." Liam shutters as I shrug.

"What does it taste like?" Layla ask as I give her a look.

"Um, it tastes like, what it tastes like. I don't know how to describe it. It's like a strawberry smoothie. Well I think of it like that, but it taste better than chicken to me." Landon eyes widen as he starts to shake my shoulders.

"Nothing tastes better that chicken." he declares and I step out of his grasp.

"Steak taste better than chicken." I tell him and he doesn't argue but he does nods in agreement and we continue to walk.

"This is longer than the last time." Layla hooks our arms.

"When did you come here?" she wiggles her eyebrows as I roll my eyes.

"I was running around and got caught. But Royal mom got me some clothing and just welcomed me in the family. She's nice." Layla starts to go a dance around me squealing.

"Oh my gosh!! If she likes you than you are Miss thang!" She exclaims as we continue to walk, once again. If we keep stopping we aren't going to make it.

"What the hell do you mean?"

"She means that his mom doesn't really, like people. Even if you are his mate, she wouldn't like you, but she does." Landon explains.

"That means you are on her good side. She'll do anything for you." Liam smiles as I nod. "She is truly nice." I tell them.

"Duh!! It's in her blood. She's the kindest person ever, even though sometimes, she can be a witch. Even nice than our mom." Layla whispers the last part as the boys nod eye wide.

Amused, I smirk.

"Why whisper the last part?"

"Darla and our mom are best friends and really competitive. It's funny, but sometime they are embarrassing and just go too far." Liam exclaims. Landon rolls his eyes as we walk in the pack house.

"Finally y'all here!" Darla exclaims smiling at us all. "God morning Darla." I told her.

"Please call me mama D." she pulls me in her arms as I wrap mine around her as well. "Mama D, did you bake cookies?" Landon asks excitedly.

"Omg, you bake cookies?" I ask jumping out her arms as she broke out into a smile nodding. "Yes I do ladies and gentlemen, right this way."

"I had too. He's a big meanie." I pout folding my arms as Royal starts to pound on the door. "Girl power!" Darla exclaims as we high-five.

Royal POV

I've been standing outside for the past hour and nobody has come to opens he door for me, not even my dad. He took on look at me through the window, smirked then went left. My mom wasn't really having any of that either. She made him get out the house too and now he's sitting on the porch with me.

"Karma sure is a bitch dad." I smirked at him as he growled at me.

"Funny, you've been out here longer than me." he snapped back as I laughed.

"I wasn't kicked out, my hyper mate led me out her and tricked me. There's a difference." I tell him as he smiles.

"Sure son. I'm glad you found Nicki, she's a good girl. She's real chill as well, not like your past girlfriends." I glare at him.

"Obviously, she's my mate. She's different than everyone else." I tell him with a smile.

"I could see it in your eyes that you're falling in love already." he smirked as I rolled my eyes.

"You're the one that's whipped. Everything mom says is done faster than the road runner runs."
