"Damn, I can't believe we're grounded." Layla mutters as we both walk to the library.

I just smile at her. I didn't really care if we were grounded. It was only a week anyway. "Calm down. We could have fun here." I tell her. She just shakes her head smiling. "You're cute. We're going out tomorrow again anyway." She smiles widely.

"Well, let me go read." I tell her as she scoffs

"You're so boring." She whines but follows me into the library and I search for a book that I didn't read yet.

"have y'all gotten any new book?" I look at her as she taps away on her phone. "Not since you came I think, why?"

"I've read every single book here." I groan and she laughs. I walk out the library and down the stairs to my dad and Candice.

"Hey guys." I smiled at them both sitting down. "Hey Girly, wassup?" Candice ask.

"We need new books."

My father eyes wide as he shakes his head. "No can do buddy." "But why daddy?"

"You're grounded for a week, remember. That means you can't do anything you enjoy." My jaw drops as he smiles at me.

"I don't like this grounded situation." I mumble frowning.

"Well by next week Friday you'll have some new and better books in your hand."

"Hey Drew." I hugged him as he entered the house.

"Hey little one." I take him up to the game room since everyone was at some meeting and I didn't want him in my room.

"Soooo, gotta girlfriend?" I pick up a controller passing it to him and starting up one of the games the boys have.

"um no? You wanna get some of vampire Drew, huh?" He winks.

"Drew, no. I have a mate, I talking about Maxi." I scoff as see him rub his face, as if he was blushing.

"uh, well yeah we're together."

"you know she has a mate out there?" "she doesn't." he smiles looking at me. "how do you know?"

"because I'm her mate."

A smile breaks out on my face as I jump up dancing around him. "Oh my!! I didn't know vampires could mate with werewolves."

"you're a vampire. You have a mate." "yeah, but I'm half werewolf too."

"So am I, god." I smile at him grabbing his hand to stand him up. "Come on. Let's go to the lake out back."

I grab his arm as we run out back and start running to the lake. It took a while to get there but it was worth it. We sat down in front of it letting our feet splash around in it. It was a good thing the sun wasn't out.

"You ever want to swim away?" He ask leaning back.

"If I could swim, yeah." He laughs, bumping my shoulder. "I want to go to Europe to see my family."

"In Tranylvania?"

"Yeah, my brother moved me to the US because they were trying to arrange a marriage with me."

"Why?" I ask as he sighs closing his eyes.

"They knew that my mate would be a werewolf. They felt it. Kept me away from most of the real world."

"Like me." I mumble as he nods.

"Yeah, like you. It's the certain family I want to see. Not all, they wouldn't like to know that I found my mate." He explains.

"Well they suck. I'm surprised my mom took it well."

"Maxi and Kiki, shush." Layla lays back closing her eyes.

"So, I heard you found your mate." I look over to Maxi and wink and she starts blushing. "Well, yeah." she looked around smiling like an idiot.

"do I smile like that when I'm around Royal?"

"Yes you do. So does Maxi when she's around Drew." Layla calls smiling at us both. "I hope to find yours." Maxi smile at her making Layla roll he eyes.

"I did. Because of my over protected brothers, we don't need to be showing affection around them." Layla says making me laugh.

"I know who it is." Maxi sang giving me a look. "Who?" she ask.

"Jacob."

She smiles nodding. I look in between them. "Who's that?"

"He's a basketball player. He doesn't hang with Royals group, which is good."

"Well, i know he makes you happy with that smile on your face." I tell her as she nods. "He should come with us tonight." I tell her excitedly.

"You sure?" she ask Maxi as she nods.

"It'll be fine. He's your mate anyway." I said.

I'll make sure everything is perfect tonight. "What are we doing tonight anyway?" "We're having a bonfire." Maxi said excitedly.

"Y'all do it all the time?"

"Yeah, dad just doesn't want us to influence you."

"No harm. I'm having fun." she smiles as gets up stretching.

"I'm going to take a nap. Wake me up at nine. That's when we'll get ready."
