I was glued to my seat. Like literally. I couldn't move, I didn't want to move either. It was Layla, Drew, Liam, Maxi, and I in Nicki's room. It's been two days. Two whole days without seeing my
mate smile, move or at least open her eyes. I didn't know what to do. I just held her bruised hand. We got back to the cottage just in time for the doctor to get it out of her system. Most of her organs were shutting down. The room was always quiet except for the beeping of the heart monitor. Liam was pacing back and forth mumbling to himself. Layla sat there crying. I wanted to comfort her, I really, really did, but I couldn't move. I didn't want to, plus I couldn't. If I could, I would've glued myself to this chair, but I couldn't find glue. Drew was the most quiet. Maxi and him was wrapped up with each other saying nothing.
I couldn't eat, sleep, or even think at this point. My mom came in feeding everyone but my plate was left untouched.
"Royal, what are we going to do with Jeff and the other guy?" Landon asks trying to avoid looking at Nicki. He was more freaked out, out of every one of us. I just couldn't seem to leave the room. I wanted to be there when she woke up and be by her side once she leave and we go back to the US.
"Um, do what you have to do." I whisper and he nods walking out the room.
I guess he knew what I mean. I wanted to get some answers out of them two. Especially Jeff. Why would he turn on me. Us, the pack. We've been friends as long as I've been friends with Levi. I want to know what was going through his mind when he decided it was cute to take my mate away from me. I couldn't believe he would do that. Plus that guy, he seems so familiar, but I couldn't put my finger on it.
"Hun, you gotta eat." I turn to my mom shaking my head. "You look worst than Nicki do. If you don't eat now, I'll order you I'm the bathroom until she awakes."
I frown standing up. "Fine." she sits me down smiling sadly.
"I know you're worried, but don't be. Nicki is strong. She has two different personalities in her. Her vampire, and her wolf. She has to fight with her wolf because the vampire could easily take over and it won't be pretty.
"I just need you to relax, go bath and shave that 5:00 shadow you got going on." she smiles and I smile a little.
I guess I could rest for a minute.
Nicki POV.
I roll to my side smiling. I couldn't wait to get to the library and read a book. Probably check out a movie and cuddle up in a blanket.
"OH MY GODDESS!!! YOU'RE OKAY!!"
I flinch and turn to Layla. "Hello." I wave at her and tears stream down her face. "Call Royal!" she yelled and I knitted my eyebrows together.
I felt so refreshed. My deep sleep, I suppose, was so nice. My inner personalities were calm. My vampire was calm, surprisingly. I think my wolf put her in her place, I'm glad for that.
"You know that happy jittery feeling you were getting when he came in the room, yup that's him." she said and I frown.
"How could I forget him? What's wrong with me?"
"You possibly suffered from short term memory loss. You weren't here for too long so you probably lost some memory." She explains.
"Wait who's the blonde that hugged me? Is he my brother or something? It's like I have a brotherly connection with him." I tell her and she smiles.
"Yeah, you and Drew are both mixed breeds basically. You two act as if you known each other forever. Always arguing and goofing off."
"I want to remember." I tell her and the others come back in. "Whats wrong?" Royal come back in frowning slightly.
"She has a little memory lost." Layla explains. He nods and smile a little. "It could be fixed." he declares.
"Yeah, she doesn't remember you, so I really hope you could fix it." She explains and a Heartbreaking look was written all over his face. I never wanted to see him like that again.
