My Very Own Alpha novel Chapter 43

There was a knock at the front door that was annoying me to no end. Getting out of bed to answer the door was work. Getting out of bed, period, was work. I was planning on resting for who knows how long. Days, months, years probably. I'm probably a bear, hibernate year round if I want. Then again, I'm hungry every minute, so the bear thing is out of this debate.

Another knock came to the door which made me angrier. " Coming." I growl.

I get out of bed with a huff stretching my limbs. I haven't left that bed for days. My head was throbbing and my stomach was hurting. I'm really hungry right now. Like REALLY REALLY hungry. I have a bear inside of me. Before I could reach the door it burst open.

"Nicki you have to listen." Drew exclaims. pushing me back a little. I frown as Layla and him barge into my room. I look up at Royal and he had a sad smile on his face. I smile back a little. At least he respected my room, and space.

"What is it." I mumble sitting on my bed. Layla sits down next to me and Drew just stands in front of me.

"Royal didn't cheat, it was those stupid vampires that wanted to take you. They used witchcraft on you both." Layla explains showing me a book.

"Witchcraft?" I ask.

I take the book out of her hands looking through it. Witchcraft? You have to have a witch to do those things, and they're very rare. Its hard to find them, unless you look real deep in the woods, which most of us, I hope, don't have time to do. Low lives.

"Yes! They got into your head making you think that Royal was cheating!!" Drew says and I nod. "Plus, your mom told us." Royal said quietly.

"You went to my mom?" I ask him and he nods as I smile slightly.

"I'll do anything for you Freckles." He says.

"Guys, I'm not feeling good." I tell them laying back in bed. I sink into my mattress closing my eyes. "What's wrong?" Royal ask already by my side in a matter of seconds.

"I don't know. Also, if you guys really thought I was stuck in bed because Alpha here 'cheated'. " I put up air quotations. " on me, then y'all are crazy. I can't get in tune with either my wolf or vampire." I explain, it was a lie I was in bed because of of Royal, but because of that my vampire has been at war with my wolf.

"What does that mean?" Layla ask.

"They're in battle. Royal talk to Nicki, give her wolf some strength." Drew says and him and Layla walks out the door.

"I'm sorry. " He mumbles.

"It's okay, it's just weird to remember everything and its a lot to handle." "You are alpha." he smiles.

"No, your alpha. I have no part in it anymore." I whisper as he kisses me softly. His grin widens as he gets in bed with me.

"You got this Wolfy."

"Stop being weird and be quiet so I can sleep." I mumble.

I stir in bed trying to get comfortable. it as dark, so I assume its night. Pus, my bed felt cold. Cold like the pass few days.

"sorry, I'm just hungry, like really really hungry." I moan rubbing my stomach. " Well, I made you some half cooked steak."

"oh god, yes." I jump out of his arms running in the kitchen. Guess what was waiting for me.

NOTHING. THERE WASN'T ANY STEAK THERE FOR ME.

"Where's my food?" I shout. Royal comes in the kitchen shaking his head at me.

"You'll get your food after you tell me what this is" he shows me the razor that Layla had taken from me. "That isn't mine." I declare.

"Oh really? then why does it smell like your blood?" he ask.

I shrug sitting in one of the chairs. " I can't help you, but you can help me by feeding me." "when did you start?"

"Rocky, give it a rest." I mumble putting my head on the marble island. It is so cold. " Do you still cut?"

Royal, I'm going sleep." I whisper closing my eyes. " Oh fucking goddess." he mutters.

"I love you." I mumble, I didnt want to talk about it and I'm glad he understood.. "I love you too."
