Charles noticed the surprise on the woman's face and suddenly felt very unhappy.

"This is my own home. Are you so surprised to see me come back?" Originally, Charles wanted to scold her, but seeing the fear in her eyes, he couldn't help but recall Helen's resistance to him in her sleep last night. Suddenly, he did not have the heart to tell her off. He just had a deep look at Helen and went to the study on the second floor without saying a word.

Helen who stood still and was puzzled even more was totally ignored by him.

...

After Charles had the breakfast served by the servant, he went out to the company. Before leaving, he even said to Helen, "If you go to the company, let the driver takes you there."

After saying that, Charles left the house. In the past, Charles had forbidden her to use the driver, because she occupied the title of Mrs. Martin which originally belonged to Julia. Charles did not want her to enjoy the life that originally should be Julia's.

"Oh" When Charles had already left with the car. Helen finally reacted. She stood there blankly and gave her reply though Charles was out of earshot.

Helen was even more puzzled. Did Charles go nuts today? Why did he treat her so gently? He didn't scold her at breakfast, and now he actually let her use the driver? And most importantly, his voice and attitude were very gentle. This is weird.

Helen shook her head and didn't think about it anymore. She couldn't figure out what Charles was thinking. Forget it.

Helen collected herself and went to work. This was the first time she had taken the Martin's car since she got married.

The car soon arrived at the company, Ocean Shipping Company. This was her family's company. Although it was a good company, it can't compare to the Martins' Group. Helen was the company's finance director and the company's third-in-command.

Of course, she was still young, so it was totally beyond her to reach such a high position.

Actually, this company was a dowry given by Helen's grandfather to her mother. It was her grandfather's life-long devotion. Grandfather only had a daughter, and that is Helen's mother, so he didn't want his daughter to suffer any grievances. Moreover, when her mother got married, her grandfather's was infirm. Knowing that his days were numbered, Helen's grandfather handed the company over to her mother as dowry.

Later, her mother died in a car accident when Helen was 19 years old. Fortunately, when Helen was 18 years old, all the shares in the company had been transferred to her. However, when her father used her young age and ignorance to make her change most of her equity, she still did not fully understand what the "equity transfer letter" meant.

Fortunately, at that time, she did not transfer everything to her father. She still had a portion of shares of the company in her hand. Although 10% in her hand was quite a bit, it can't compare to her father's 51%.

After a busy and intense day, time quickly passed.

Before noon, Charles' assistant called Helen and asked her to come over, "What is it? What President Martin looked me for?"

"Come to have lunch." Charles walked over and sat down. He picked up the bowls and chopsticks and prepared to eat. Seeing that Helen was still standing there, he said "come here to eat."

If there are only Charles and Helen in the office, Helen definitely believed that Charles was talking to her just now.

"Oh, yes." She obediently walked over and sat down. She picked up another set of dishes and placed them beside her mouth.

Charles saw Helen continuously eat white rice. He was speechless and a little depressed. Why she was so afraid of him?

"Do not always eat your white rice, have some dishes." Charles took the initiative to help Helen with the dishes. This surprised Helen too much. In the morning, Charles asked her to use the driver. Now, he even asked her to come over and have dinner with him. Strangely, he even helped her with the dishes. This was too abnormal. Anomalies were demons.

Helen felt that something was wrong. Looking at the food in the bowl, she blurted out, "You didn't poison the food, did you?" After she finished speaking, Helen felt ashamed.

How could she say such words? Charles was also speechless. "What are you thinking?"

He reached out and knocked on Helen's forehead with the chopsticks in his hand. After knocking her head, both of them were stunned.
