Matthew called Lucy on the phone while driving over.

The phone kept ringing in Lucy’s pocket. She took it out to find out who was calling. She picked up the call happily when she saw it was from Matthew.

“Matthew!”

Linus could not help feeling jealous of Matthew when he heard how happily Lucy picked up the call.

“Hello, Matthew?” Lucy suddenly felt unsettled when no one replied to her.

Even though Matthew was happy to hear her voice, he tried to hold himself back and stay silent to force Lucy to apologize to him.

Matthew looked at the disconnected call. His expression fell as he called her again.

Lucy was puzzled when she saw him calling her again.

“Hello? Matthew?”

Matthew decided to say something this time in case Lucy hung up on him again.

“I’m here. Where are you? I’ll come to see you!”

Lucy was surprised. Matthew would not come to see her if he was busy at work. What was going on today?

“I’m at the small hill by the beach. I’m painting here.”

“Are you alone?” Matthew asked unhappily.

“Linus Gusman is with me. We bumped into each other while I was on my way here. He’s modeling for me,” Lucy said in a normal yet slightly happy tone. It was boring for her to paint alone, and she usually did not have a model to pose for her.

Matthew got extremely jealous when he heard this. He hung up and drove faster…

Meanwhile, Lucy was happily painting with Linus.

She went over quickly to Linus to help him up when she saw this. Linus was fine, but he suffered a slight sprain on his ankle.

“What do you mean, Mr. Leon?” Linus looked at him with a small smile.

Matthew wanted to beat Linus up when he saw the look on Linus’ face, but his manners did not allow him to do so.

“I hope you’ll be able to keep your distance from Lucy, Mr. Gusman. Stop disrupting her life.”

Linus looked at Lucy and said, “Lucy has the freedom to make friends of her own. It’s her right to do so. This is no different from imprisonment if you’re insisting on this.

“I’ll be leaving first, Lucy. We’ll chat again next time. Bye.” Linus glanced at Matthew and left after that.
