Claudia and Hawley were tied up in two separate storage units.

Hugh and his bodyguards suddenly appeared, rescuing his son. "Tell Daddy, are you hurt anywhere?"

The moment the tape was ripped from his mouth, Hawley burst into tears. He pointed a small finger at the adjacent warehouse. "Daddy, the bad guys took Aunt Claudia in there!"

Hugh's expression turned to ice. He handed the boy to his bodyguard. "Get him out of here first."

Two of the bodyguards blocked Hugh's path. "Mr. Ferguson, we've already tipped them off. The warehouse next door is full of propane tanks. It's too dangerous! You can't go in there!"

But before they could finish, Hugh was already sprinting away.

Inside the other warehouse, Claudia was bound to a pillar, her mouth sealed with tape. She listened in terror as her captors discussed breaking her legs and using her as a hostage to escape. They were vicious criminals. She had no idea if Hawley was safe.

Just as a menacing man raised a club to strike her legs, Claudia squeezed her eyes shut in despair.

Suddenly, she heard a bloodcurdling scream, followed by the sounds of a fierce fight. When Claudia opened her eyes, the men who had been threatening her were groaning and scrambling to get away.

Seeing Hugh frantically untying her ropes, she was overcome with such a profound sense of relief that tears began to fall.

"It's okay," Hugh said softly, watching her tears stream down like broken pearls. "I'm here. I won't let anything happen to you."
