Mia looked at her and said, "Noelle, I think Ivy figured out why you dislike her. She showed me a photo of Xenia and asked me about it."

"I know," Noelle replied. "I ran into her at the school gate. I told her straight-up—if she wants me to accept her goodwill, she should get plastic surgery."

Mia blinked in surprise. "And what did she say?"

"You should've seen her face. She was completely stunned, like she couldn't believe I'd say something so cold and mean. If I were someone softer, I probably would've backed down by now."

Sitting down, Noelle added, "Too bad, I'm just a ruthless villain now."

Grace laughed. "Exactly. If you're too kind to the wrong people, you'll just end up hurting yourself."

Mia smiled. "I've tried to talk her out of it, but she doesn't listen."

"You should be careful, Mia. Ivy's really good at winning people over. If she gets close to your relatives, they might all end up siding with her before you even realize it," Noelle said.

Ivy hadn't returned to the country all these years mostly because Salena had kept her firmly suppressed.
