Ivy stood up and glared at Mia. "You're wrong. Those assets should've been your brother's, and you're not worthy to have them at all!"

"That's funny. Are you saying that my dad gave me all of his money because he was getting senile with old age?"

Mia didn't want to keep up the act anymore because it was exhausting. It didn't matter anymore, as they had planned everything while staying up the whole night yesterday.

Eugene had sent a bodyguard to stand by at the Cantrell residence, and there was even a hired gun outside. So, Mia wasn't in any danger at all.

"Your dad is nothing but a liar. He said he would let his son inherit everything, but he went back on his word. He abandoned us, so that liar deserved to die!"

Ivy had kept that feeling inside her for years, and she was finally able to let it all out at that moment. The Cantrells had humiliated her too much.

"Did you have anything to do with my dad's death?" Mia asked coldly as she stared at Ivy.

So, she looked back up at Mia and said, "Your dad's death was his karma, so what does it have anything to do with me? The police investigated me before, and they would've found something if I were guilty."

Mia noticed how confident Ivy looked as the latter spoke. Back then, everyone thought Ivy was just a mistress, and no one paid much attention to her.

No one would've expected her to be so insidious in the shadows at all. That was why Ivy was able to escape for so long.

Mia scoffed. "Get out of here now. You're not welcome here."

"Why should I leave just because you told me to? What can you possibly do to me like this?

"Even if your dad left you so many assets, you still weren't able to protect them. Instead, your aunt tricked you into giving her a lot of money, didn't she?"
