Mia stood up in shock. "This isn't happening! There's no way!"

She turned to Eugene and asked, "That car isn't Cedric's, is it?"

Eugene stepped forward and replied, "Don't panic just yet. I'll call Cedric right away."

"Right, I'll try to call Noelle, too. This has to be just a coincidence."

Mia immediately tried to call Noelle, but her calls were all unanswered. She began to panic; her legs were barely able to hold her up.

Eugene supported her with one hand while holding his phone with the other. "Alright, I'll head over and join the search."

After hanging up, Eugene looked at Mia and said, "Let's go; the more people out for the search, the better our chances."

Mia replied, "Yeah, you're right. Let's go."

She glanced at Eason one more time and left without looking back. At that moment, Noelle was the more important person to her.

News about Noelle's accident spread quickly. There was already a crowd by the time Mia arrived at the scene. Several divers were gearing up while a helicopter hovered overhead to light up the area.

Mia immediately spotted Cedric and Alfred seemingly in a heated argument.

Eugene walked over, and Alfred shouted anxiously, "You're finally here, Eugene! Come help me stop Cedric! Don't let him get on the boat and make a mess of things!"

Cedric was not listening to anyone at that point. He was determined to search for Noelle himself.

Mia hurried over and said, "They already found the car, right? What about Noelle?"

Cedric stared at the pitch-black river's surface as his heart burned with anxiety. Every passing second spelled an increasing risk to Noelle's safety as well.

Mia turned to Alfred and asked, "How did the car accident happen?"

Alfred replied, "The driver was abducted in advance. The one waiting for Noelle outside the hospital was replaced by somebody else."

"Noelle called me and said that she saw some suspicious-looking people by the roadside before she got in the car."
