Carl wished that he could tear Aaron to pieces. He wished that he had dealt with Aaron thoroughly back then instead of slowly torturing him and giving him the chance to escape.

But even so, Aaron had jumped into the sea while already severely injured. His chances of survival were almost zero.

Carl never imagined Aaron to be tenacious enough to actually make it out alive. He asked, "How did you survive? Don't tell me there was a traitor on the island that saved you in secret."

"You said that I've lost the support of the people, yeah? But some folks still knew that you took over my position through underhanded means. Not everyone accepts you as their leader."

Cedric had already looked into the history of the island, so he had a good guess about what Carl had done in the past.

Carl really regretted his past choices. "So that's what happened, huh? I was wondering how you could've even survived."

He realized that he should have gotten rid of Aaron completely back then. The current situation with Noelle would not have happened if he had done so.

Just then, Blake spoke up. "We agree to give you the island, but when are you giving us Noelle back?"

"And who are you exactly? I believe you have no right to speak up for Carl."

On the other end of the call, Noelle could tell that the new voice belonged to Blake. But given that Blake had chosen to side with the Liddells, she viewed him as standing on the same front as the rest of her brothers.

Blake replied, "I'm part of the Liddell family, and Noelle is our younger sister. We all have a right to make this decision."

Both Frank and Donovan spoke up as well. "That's right. We're all Noelle's older brothers. We've already discussed the matter and decided to give you the island. So when are you sending Noelle back to us?"

"I'll only send Noelle back once all of you withdraw from the island."
