Yeaton Manor.
Roland Yeaton had come home tonight in a foul mood. He had no patience for his sobbing wife and was there to demand she sign the divorce papers.
Faye Yeaton was in her room when a maid burst in. "Faye, you have to go see your parents! I think they're fighting!"
Faye rushed out of her room and toward the master bedroom. When she pushed the door open, she saw her father pinning her mother to the bed, trying to force her to sign a document.
Faye was stunned by the scene. Her mother was held down, her hair a mess, tear tracks staining her face. Her father's face was contorted with rage as he clutched the papers. "Sign it," he snarled. "Don't make me get rough."
"Dad, what are you doing?!" Faye screamed, rushing forward and shoving him with all her might.
Caught off guard, Roland stumbled back. Seeing it was Faye only fueled his rage. "Faye, this is none of your business. Stay out of it."
"How could you do this to Mom?" Faye stood protectively in front of her mother, trembling with anger.
"How could I?" Roland sneered, waving the documents. "Because I'm the one in charge of this family now, and your mother is signing this divorce agreement today."
Her mother was on the bed, sobbing uncontrollably, her face a mask of despair.
Faye looked at her father's cold, ruthless face, and her heart turned to ice. It was clear he couldn't wait to run off with his mistress and their illegitimate son.
"Mom, go out for a bit. I need to talk to Dad," Faye said.
Her mother shot Roland a hateful glare. "You heartless bastard. After all the years I've been with you."
Faye shut the door as her mother left. Roland was already looking at her impatiently. "Faye, stay out of adult affairs."
