I knew Nathan would be watching and I needed to see him. I did it to draw him out.

So when all was done, I went home and I water patiently for his signal.

Two days passed and nothing.

I was pacing around the living room like a cages animal that had nothing better to do. Alex was out in the city again, going from one ghost lead to another as he tried his hardest to find where they were possibly holding Raina.

Faith stayed close to us, trying to help us as best as she could but remained silent. She missed Raina too and it was taking a toll on all of us.

I was boiling, Nathan didn’t show and neither did he call.

The day was going by quickly and I was about to give up when my phone suddenly rang out of nowhere.

A number I didn’t recognize flashed across the screen and even though I was skeptical, I still answered the call.

“Where is it?” Nathan barked immediately I put the phone to my ear. There was no greeting, no pleasantries, just a rude question. “I saw the headline on the news, why is there no estate under either you or Raina’s name? Where the fuck did you move all the properties to? I want to know!”

So that was it? He wasn’t calling regarding Cale’s crime but because of his need for power? And the fact that he didn’t have access to the properties he thought he owned.
