Chapter 980

Three days later, Gwen finally returned to the crew. Meanwhile, the paparazzi spotted Jonathan going back to work at the Lamont Group, which only added fuel to the rumors that they’d been hanging out together these past few days.

Estelle was in the dressing room, sorting out some clothes. Behind a curtain, Gwen and Clarice were having a chat.

“Gwen, it’s been a while. I’ve missed you,” Clarice said, with a hint of flattery in her voice.

Gwen smiled, elegant and gentle. “I had some stuff to deal with these past few days. Sorry if it messed up the shooting schedule”

“No one is blaming you!” Clarice cooed. “You’re still keeping secrets from me. Were you with Mr. Lamont these past few days?”

Gwen glanced at the light–blue curtain, blushing slightly. “I had no choice. He refuses to take his meds unless I’m there. He’s such a baby!”

Clance laughed, covering her mouth. “Mr. Lamont is just making excuses to have you around. Don’t you get it?”

“I do!” Gwen said with a teasing smile. “That’s why I had to stick around.”

“Do you think you’ll become Mrs. Lamont soon, since he loves you so much?”

Gwen hummed lightly. “I haven’t decided if I want to marry him. Right now, my career is my main priority!” 

Clarice gasped, “So, Mr. Lamont has proposed?”

“No, he hasn’t! Don’t make things up!” Gwen shot back.

“Estelle is not like that! Gwen retorted immediately.

Ana, standing behind Estelle, listened carefully. She sensed that there were some secrets between Estelle and Gwen.

Estelle had been busy with her own stuff and didn’t say anything. She turned around and left.

Gwen watched her leaving, smiled slightly, then turned to Clarice. “Ainght, let’s stop talking about this nonsense and go over our lines.”

The director, aware of the conflict between Estelle and Gwen and noticing Gwen’s return to the crew, had a chat with Estelle. But Estelle didn’t elaborate much.
