Honestly, they were all kind of stunned. Sure, competing with Jane in design was no walk in the park, but it wasn’t nearly as nerve-wracking as going up against Tyler.

“Alright, we’re in.”

After a quick huddle, the girls agreed, each one looking fired up and ready to go.

“But some of us don’t even know how to design,” someone hesitated.

“I told you, as long as any one of you can beat the person I pick, that’s all that matters.”

With it laid out so simply, there was nothing left to argue about. The girls got to work, sketching out ideas, while the ones who couldn’t design pitched in however they could.

Fiona just sat back, quietly munching on potato chips, eyes glued to the sparring match. She was pretty sure Tyler would wipe the floor with everyone.

Once the crowd around her drifted off, Jane wandered over, still looking a little lost, and dropped into the seat beside Fiona.

“What did you mean earlier? You want me to design something and compete against them?” Jane asked, confused.

Fiona nodded. “Yep. International Glam needs fresh faces. If any of these girls show promise, even better.”

Jane caught on in an instant.

She was from the Kidd family, so helping Fiona out wasn’t as easy for her as it had been for Jasmine. Fiona was clearly using this as a way to scout new talent for International Glam.

“How’d you even think of poaching people at school? If Mr. Garcia finds out, he’ll totally freak,” Jane said, shaking her head.

“Everyone needs a job eventually,” Fiona replied with a shrug. “I’m just helping them lock down something solid ahead of time.”

Jane had to admit, it made sense. She handed Fiona a bottle of iced lemon tea. “Want some? Just got it—still cold.”

“Thanks.”
