"You're not dreaming," Michael spoke his mind. "That's Erica."

Everyone turned to Michael. He peeled off his bionic mask and voice modulator, revealing his true face.

"Juan?" Randy gaped.

Erica took off her mask. "So, how's my acting?"

"Holy crap, what is this thing?" Randy stepped closer, inspecting the bionic mask in her hand.

It wasn't too thin or thick, and it felt almost like real skin.

Juan explained, "The bionic mask's a new product from my company. Originally for robots, but we tweaked it. Humans can use it too. It's got some flaws, sure, but the lighting here's dim enough. You'd never notice unless you looked close."

Randy blinked. "So, who did you just kill?"

"Take off her mask and see," Juan said.

Randy reached over to remove the mask. Lara's face was revealed.

"Juan posed as Michael and took me away in front of Lara," Erica explained. "She got suspicious and followed him out back. I knocked her out."

"Brillant!" Randy marveled.

"But, don't you guys think this was all a bit too easy?" Debra chimed in.

She wasn't trying to rain on their parade. It just felt too smooth.

Drake stepped down from the platform. "You're overthinking it. This just proves our plan was solid. That old fool never saw it coming."
