Its furious tirade came fast and loud, and each word brimmed with the righteous fury of the betrayed King of Testudines. It didn't give Shannon a single chance to speak.

Seeing no room to interrupt, Shannon gave up trying. She simply stood there with Benjamin and let Albany vent for three minutes straight.

She'd assumed it'd stop once it got things off its chest, but the system was clearly more hurt than she thought. Seeing that Shannon remained unmoved by its tantrum, Albany spun around and retracted its limbs and head into its shell.

Though it was shrouded in black smoke, Albany now gave off an air of sulky energy. It clearly wanted someone to coax it out.

"You've never talked to me like that."

Shannon was utterly speechless. As the mighty Dragon Vein, why was he comparing himself to a sulking system?

Oblivious to their silent standoff, the turtle head that had just been peeking out of the shell snapped fully out after hearing her words. Its legs followed, and it burst out of her arms in a puff of black smoke before soaring into the air.

Though it was a turtle, Shannon and Benjamin could somehow sense its unmistakable smugness from its expression.

Sure enough, its voice rang out proudly. "You're right. The strong always shoulder more than the ordinary."

With that, Albany officially forgave Shannon for leaving it behind in the alternate world, but she hadn't come just to seek forgiveness for that.
