"Baby," I called to Ryder. He looked at me in the mirror. I was standing in the doorway and my face full of suspicion. I held his phone in my hand. The lock screen was unlocked but when I tried to go to Safari it had a code on it. The type of code that it was shouldn't have been possible to put on an iPhone because of its high security. Therefore I grew suspicious of why he would go through so much just to lock his browser.
"What's with this?" I asked showing him the lock screen.
"Why do you have my phone?" He asked as if I had never legitimately looked through his phone.
"Why is there a lock?"
"Why do you have my phone?" He asked this time turning to face me.
"Because I'm your WIFE. AND I AM OBLIGATED TO BE ABLE TO USE SOMETHING OF YOURS WITHOUT THE SUSPICION OF YOU CHEATING!" I yelled.
"OH, SO IM CHEATING NOW?" He yelled back.
"I DON'T FUCKING KNOW. YOU'RE THE ONE WITH THE LOCK ON YOUR BROWSER!"
"WHY DOES IT MATTER IF I HAVE A LOCK ON IT?! IT SHOULDN'T CONCERN YOU!"
"IT DOES! EVERYTHING YOU DO CONCERN ME BECAUSE I LOVE YOU! WHY WOULD YOU LOCK SOMETHING WHEN YOU HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE?!" I started to break down feeling as if all the efforts I put in were all for nothing. I gave up throwing his phone down on the counter beside the sink.
"You know what... fuck it. I don't care. Fuck you." I cried. I walked out of the bathroom and when I attempted to walk out the hotel room he grabbed my arm and pulled me into him.
"Look... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to raise my voice-..."
"Ryder I don't care about the yelling. I DONT. What I care about is how you felt the need to hide something from me. We made a vow for better or for worse. When I said I do it was because I love you. Not just to say it. Now I just have to ask... Do you actually love me?" I asked a tear running down my cheek. He looked at me and put his hand around my waist.
