Inorder to prevent confusion, I listed a few things to make you understand the book a bit better.

Note:

The wolves that live in the capital of the North are all lycans. Except for the slaves who are halfbreeds and a few guards that are werewolves.

All sub-alpha's are werewolves.

The North is the central capital where the Alpha king resides.

There are four territories with fifteen sections each.

Lycans are descendants of the moon and the oldest wolves.

Silver is harmful to werewolves. The only way to kill a Lycan is to sever the spine of the Lycan.

Halfbreeds are more like humans. They do not heal fast and are affected by most sicknesses humans suffer.
