Wilbur put on a terrified expression. "Did you mistake me for someone else, Mister Cultivator? I swear I've never seen you before."

The Dark Messenger looked firmly into Wilbur's eyes. "Cut it out, Wilbur Penn. I know it's you."

Wilbur froze. "S-Sir, I don't know who W-Wilbur Penn is. P-Please forgive me…"

"Right. I was just joking, I hope you don't mind."

"T-Thank you, sir."

The Dark Messenger moved on to the next person. A little over ten minutes later, the innkeeper walked over with a smile. "Have you found your guy, sir?"

"No."

Wendis had some of the best seafood around, and a regular person would be able to earn a regular daily wage if they worked hard enough at wishing. Sometimes they would even be lucky enough to find pearls in the clams, which would be worth a few days of wages.

"Sir," said Wilbur. "I heard that the seafood in Wendis is some of the best out there, and a day of harvesting can get me a regular wage. Is that true?"

The innkeeper blinked but nodded his head. "Yes, you're right. However, it takes a lot of hard work to be good at the job. You need to get up real early, and it's also very hard on one's back. It's not a suitable job for the weak."
