Though Luna paused for a moment, she eventually turned to look at him and said, “…Not at all.”

Naturally, her answer pissed Neal off! Alas, before he could say anything else, Luna had already broken free from his grip and left the room…

Now alone again, the irked man got so frustrated that he immediately lit a cigarette to calm himself… but when he saw the earring on the table that Luna had left behind last year, his troubled heart simply got worse…

She didn’t return the rest of that day, and though Neal tried his best to sleep in her absence, he was only able to doze off after tossing and turning till the wee hours…

Sadly for him, his brief sleep was cut short when some knocking came on his door, followed by Elliot’s anxious voice yelling, “N-Neal! Bad news!”

What? Had the baby’s fever returned?! Instantly sitting up, the tired man stumbled toward his door… and when he finally opened it, Elliot was quick to say, “There you are! It’s Luna! She’s injured!”

“…What?”

Glaring at Joe, the infuriated man growled, “Get the hell away from her…!”

“…I’m just treating her wound. Plus, you have no right to tell me to leave-”
