Before James could finish reading, his mother entered the room, her face clouded with worry.

"James, I’m really worried about Charlotte. Why is it that even though she hasn’t been sent to prison, I still can’t take care of her? If anything happens to my grandson, I won’t let them off!" she said angrily, her frustration spilling over into a fit of coughing.

James remained calm. "Mom, even if she isn’t in prison, she’s still under house arrest. That means that while she may be at home, it’s no different from being in jail. You can’t just visit her whenever you want."

His mother glanced at his computer screen and immediately spotted Sarah’s name displayed in bold letters. With a cold snort, she scoffed, "That wretched woman has finally revealed her true colors for everyone to see. She’s nothing but a curse! First, she ruined Lucy, then Charlotte and my grandson. And now, she’s finally killed someone. Let’s see how she gets away this time!"

James’s expression darkened slightly. "Mom, the case isn’t even closed yet. Besides, Dean Larson already released the security footage. There’s nothing suspicious in it."

"You’re actually defending that little tramp? Have you forgotten who sent Charlotte to jail? And Lucy—she’s still in a psychiatric hospital!" His mother was one step away from outright yelling.

James took a deep breath. "They brought it on themselves."

"You dare speak to me like this? Don’t tell me you actually have feelings for that woman?"

"Mom, stop jumping to conclusions. Don’t say things that have no basis."

His mother’s eyes burned red with rage. "I don’t care about anything else. Right now, you need to get Charlotte out of there! She’s pregnant! I won’t let her stay in that place alone!"

But what could she do? The house arrest had already been decided, and the fact that she wasn’t sent to prison was already the best possible outcome.

"Mom, I can’t do it. I couldn’t even get Lucy out of the psychiatric hospital—let alone someone under house arrest," James refused without hesitation.

"Fine! If you won’t help, I’ll find someone who will!" His mother pointed an accusatory finger at him, her restraint barely keeping her from exploding into a full-blown rage.

"Keep pressing it down," he ordered in a low voice.

His assistant nodded. In fact, ever since Adams University had released the unedited footage from the counseling session, many of Sarah’s harshest critics had quietly backed down, some even deleting their posts.

Renowned psychologists were now publicly defending Sarah, analyzing her "Three Days" conversation from a professional perspective. They confirmed there was nothing wrong with her words—in fact, her approach could have even encouraged Tina to reconsider her decision.

If Tina still chose to end her life, the reason likely lay in something that had happened in the three days after she left the counseling room—something no one yet understood.

Zachary had access to the raw, unedited video. However, the version circulating online had been selectively cut.

Revealing Tina’s medical history would have helped clear Sarah’s name entirely. But the school had chosen not to disclose it—at Sarah’s request.
