In the sitting room, Mia studied the new therapist. Something about him seemed different from the others.

After a long silence, he spoke. "Hello, Miss Reynolds. I'm your new therapist."

Mia gave the butler a look, and he tactfully left.

She studied the man curiously, keeping her tone polite but distant. "Look, I know my grandfather sent you to treat me, but I should tell you - I already have a therapist. Don't waste your time. Keep your fee, but you can't help me. I'm beyond that."

Unlike the others, this therapist didn't get angry. Instead, he looked at her with interest. He'd heard about the difficult Miss Reynolds before coming. Her file showed they'd tried every known treatment method with little success. Her current stability was credited to that famous Decker Competition champion.

"Miss Reynolds, I understand your position, but hear me out. Your grandfather clearly has reservations about Miss Sanders, or he wouldn't have brought you home and gone to such lengths to find you proper help."

He paused before continuing. "Every therapist has different methods. Even if you trust Miss Sanders’s approach, why not try something new? I'm sure you don't want to be trapped in those shadows forever."

His words caught Mia off guard, making her waver. After thinking, she made an unexpected request. "I'll let you treat me, but on one condition."

The therapist looked puzzled. "Go on."

What could this pampered heiress possibly need from him?

Mia's eyes filled with hope. "Take me out once."

William gave Mia a knowing look, catching her avoiding his gaze. He understood what was happening but nodded anyway. "Very well."

Mia pinched her thigh hard, fighting to contain her joy.

At the Sanders house, Sarah had just returned from Sanders Group when she ran into Sydney.

"Well, if it isn't Sarah! Looking for your cousin? So sorry - he's out running errands for my mother."

She smirked and continued, "Why don't you tell me what you need? I might be able to help."
