At this thought, Vivian pulled out the bracelet from her drawer, threw it down and stomped on it furiously.

After a moment, she calmed down and picked it up, carefully cleaning it with a handkerchief, checking for damage. She sighed in relief when she found none.

She drained a glass of water, regaining her composure. She hadn't lost yet.

The early autumn weather was unpredictable. The morning's sunshine gave way to fierce winds at noon, and by mid-afternoon, a violent storm had broken out. Thunder and lightning made the 4:30 sky as dark as night.

Mia had left before classes ended, called away by her grandfather.

Sarah opened her umbrella, looking up at the menacing sky. The weather report said the storm wouldn't let up soon. After waiting another half hour in her office with no sign of improvement, she decided to head home.
